Brewed in collaboration with Jeppe from Evil Twin Brewing (and named after his mum), this Double IPA is big on fruity flavours.
The latest instalment in our “Hello My Name Is…” series, this beer has been built on the same robust malt base as its predecessors and single hopped with Mosaic for lots of tropical, passion fruit and citrus flavours. Loaded with well over 100kg of blueberries, this is one super fruity hop bomb.
Malts: Extra Pale, Caramalt, Wheat
Hops: Mosaic
Twist: Loaded with heaps of blueberries

Pours translucent amber orange with a smaller beige ring for a head. Aroma brings blueberry tea and light lemony mosaic hops. Body is big and rich with some booze, citrus, and blueberries and big rich malty presence mixed with a subtle zesty hop spice at the end.

330ml bottle from Lovely fresh fruity aroma, pours a reddish-copper colour. A grapefruit bitterness just about beats the fruitiness for your attention and although you hope the blueberries overtake before the end they trail behind for the duration. It’s a nice fruity shine to a nice double IPA, and the mosaic makes itself known all too well. An enjoyable beer even if the pieces don’t gel too perfectly.

On bottle from Vinmonopolet Stovner ( on order). Golden color, good foam. Immediate hop aromas; medium intensity- then nice blueberry aromas. Also some citrus & light caramel & vanilla. Medium/ full body & high complexity. Good bitterness & balance. Very enjoyable ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Beer number 1000 this is. The scent is absolutely wonderful sweet, hops and fruity. The taste is also quite heavenly wonderful and I just enjoy. However, I think the only blueberry flavor is minimal. Would like to have had it more powerful. But the taste is fruity. The aftertaste is also world class. Bitterness is probably quite right but it fills the whole mouth in the aftertaste and is left long. I can not be more than that, thank you for a wonderful beer. 330ml Bottle. Pours a gold tinted rich orange colour, with a thin white head. Strong aromas of pine with lots of sweet blueberries coming through. Notes of roasted caramel malts and citrus. Initial bready flavour, with a soft pine character. Strong blueberry finish with a lot of bitter citrus. Glad I tried it, but probably wouldn’t buy again.

Aroma packed with flowers & fruit. Clear amber. The taste is ok but I would have preferred some more hops for a Double IPA. Medium body, smooth texture & low carbonation.

Rune (12724) - Tromsø, NORWAY - FEB 17, 2014
200ml glass, on tap at Crowbar. Almost clear amber coloured body. Beige head that laces nicely. Dried fruity aroma with mid-sweet brown malts behind. Succulent hop driven taste, lemon, orange and grapefruit. Solid bitter endnotes. A well-crafted beer (Meet up with Arve Christian,Oslo 12.02.2014).

@ Havregatan. Flaska från Systembolaget (40:-). Fruktig och bärig, grape, humle, sötma, alkohol. Avslutningen är fruktig, torr, besk och lång.

Bottle at Øltorget Mathallen, november 9th 2013. Amber body with a low white head. Aroma of citrus fruits, caramel malt, and a slight touch of berries. Taste follows in the same way, heavy hopped and caramel, with a very light berry taste. Would I recognize the berries if I didn’t know they were there? Not sure, but probably. Don’t be shy on the berries, Brewdog, toss some more of them in the beer, I think there’s room for plenty more of them here.

On draught at Brewdog Camden. Pours amber with a white head. Nice grapefruit and lemon aroma. Fresh grapefruit flavour, nice bitter citrus zing. Sharp fruity finish. Nice.
