Brewed in collaboration with Jeppe from Evil Twin Brewing (and named after his mum), this Double IPA is big on fruity flavours.
The latest instalment in our “Hello My Name Is…” series, this beer has been built on the same robust malt base as its predecessors and single hopped with Mosaic for lots of tropical, passion fruit and citrus flavours. Loaded with well over 100kg of blueberries, this is one super fruity hop bomb.
Malts: Extra Pale, Caramalt, Wheat
Hops: Mosaic
Twist: Loaded with heaps of blueberries

Amber color, bright, medium sized head. The aroma has a strong animal component, hoppy, a bit grassy and fruity. Lean mouthfeel; this malt flavor with the strong earthy/manure character is a bit cloying; not too sweet; quite strong bitterness, fitting in the picture, with a touch of dark berries in the final, and very light acidity.
Good beer, but this mix of flavors tends to be chaotic.

Bottle at Örebro Öl&Whisky Festival 2013. Clear golden/copper beer with a small offwhite head. Hoppy fruity aroma, citrus, grass, caramel, hay, grapes, mango, pine needles, floral notes. Hoppy floral flavor, caramel, mango, grass, hay, citrus, rather bitter, pine needles, notes of blueberry. Fresh feeling, good beer.

harrisoni (18579) - Ashford, Kent, ENGLAND - DEC 3, 2013
On tap at Brewdog Shepherds Bush. Grapefruit hop aroma. Good in mouth. Not overly bitter. Wow doesn’t taste of 8% abv. Pretty good tropical fruit and peach. Tasty

Clear deep ruby color, small white head. Fruity, berryish, some caramel in the nose. Medium-bodied. Mostly pine needle hoppy with some sweet notes, perhaps more like tropical fruits here than blueberries (Mosaic overrides berries?). Something like BrewDog house flavors. Interesting, but not enough to have another one.

Bottle. A clear, dark golden beer with a dense light beige head. A very fruity one, lots of berries and piney hops in the aroma. Some caramel notes. Pine cones, resins, berries, pale malts and quite a lot of bitterness in the flavor. Full body, dry, with a nice carbonation level. Berries and hops in the finish. Nice, especially the berry touch. 131129

Draught @ Delirium Hoppy Loft, Brussels. Pours hazy golden with a small creamy head and lacings. Massive piney nose. Fresh! Petroleum and pine. Smooth, dry and crisp with a good bitterness.

330ml bottle (Pudel, Tallinn)
Horrible brewdog aroma, stinky pungent rat cage that hasn’t been cleaned since their latest piss-fight. Looked better, rich red, if a bit flat. Taste is a horror. Grassy hops, bitter, probably poisonous red berries. Does get less horrible after a few sips, but it’s still that horrible brewdog sticky sweet malt pale ale taste which I detest. Crystal malts? Soapy finish, a bit acidic. Quite horrible as a beer, no thank you.

Theis (15152) - Frederiksberg, DENMARK - OCT 21, 2013
Draught at MikkellerBAR. Clear amber - white head. Sweet malty. Dark berries. Ok hoppy bitterness. Zesty blueberry. Nice high fruity. Dry bitterness. Ok balance - but rather sweet.

gunnfryd (14899) - Kristiansand, NORWAY - FEB 9, 2014
Bottle. Deep golden colour with an off-white head. Aroma is berries, malt, hop, fruit, pine. Flavour is berries, malt, hop, fruit, pine. Full body. Nice beer.

Scopey (14778) - Croydon, Greater London, ENGLAND - OCT 20, 2013
Bottle from BrewDog Shoreditch. It pours clear amber with a medium white head. The nose sweet, juicy blueberry, pine, light toast and grapefruit. The taste is crisp, bitter, resinous, juicy berry, red grape, passion fruit, grapefruit, light fruity tartness, toast and grass with a dry, very bitter finish. Medium body and medium+ carbonation. Nice bitterness and very drinkable given the abv.
