A fury of dots and dashes come trough the receiver. The translator turns in amazement. "A Zero IBU IPA by two breweries separated by sea?" His commanding officer lays a grizzled hand on his shoulder as his eyes narrow toward the horizon. "No bastard ever won a war by playing it safe, son."
The International Arms Race is a new type of battle collaboration between hardcore American craft brewery Flying Dog and BrewDog.
’Zero IBU IPA’ is an ale brewed with berries and herbs.

Bottle. A clear, dark golden beer topped by a dense, finger-thick off-white head. Lots of ginger on the nose, too much I think, hiding most of the other scents. Some caramel maltyness. It’s full-bodied, softly carbonated and with too much ginger. Some ginger warmth too. Caramel maltyness, and a generic spicyness too. Pleasant, but too ginger-ish that I find it pleasant. 121017

Nice darker colour with some head. Aroma is grassy, dry and incense. Taste is almost spicy and the incense taste overwhelms the body. This is not too drinkable.

You’re right you know, it’s like bubblegum that is losing its flavour. Really disappointed with this. I hate disappointing people but I’m very poor. It’s all this craft beer I’m drinking. And nights out watching American punk bands. Beer for punks with no money, that’d be something to sign up for wouldn’t it scamps?

Yeah, this is not working... Pours a clear dark amber with off-white head. Aroma is, well, what you would expect: berries, fruit, maybe a hint of spices.Very sweet. Taste has caramel malt up front before a finish of, again, sweet berries. In between a fairly rich carbonation to add some element of edge to it, but overall, it ends up way too sweet.

TheJestersBeer (2430) - SWEDEN - OCT 12, 2012
330ml bottle. Pours a clear, medium amber, with an off-white head. Spicy, herbal aroma, spruce, pors, sage, thyme, caramel, malt. Dry, medium body, low bitterness, balanced CO2. Spicy, herbal taste, sage, caramel, toffee, honey, thyme, rosemary. Quite interesting. (2012-08-24)
