Poured clear amber with a medium pillowy head that slowly went to a small lacing white one. Freaky aroma with juniper and herbs, laurel, rosemary, pine, dead fallen leaves. Medium sweet flavor with pine again, juniper, herbs. Yes, this is not an IPA but very interesting, good one!
about what I expected. made a beer like this not long ago & tasted the exact same. The herbs used are pretty powerful and there is no getting around it. But always fun to take a step back to what beer was like before we cultivated hops on a massive scale. Fin (10540) - Merton, Oxfordshire, England, Oxfordshire, ENGLAND - OCT 11, 2012
Bottle from De Bier Konning, Amsterdam, Netherlands, consumed at home 11th October 2012 Pours clear light amber with a slim white head. Floral, fruity and with a sweet shop element on the nose. I have to say this is a little strange, soft in mouth, perfumey, touch thin, sort of like a watery, beery, florally soapy thing, I actually misspelt thing for thong initially, that made me chuckle, should have kept it like that... Rather small off-white head. Clear amber to brown colour. Aroma liquorice, mint, similar to our local herb liquor "Demänovka". Cough drops. Under that lies some light smokey maltyness. The taste evolves in a very similar way to mentioned Demänovka. Initially more sweet, herbal. Towards the finish the bitterness takes over, though never above average. Notes of liquorice in the taste and finish too. This has definitely failed as an attempt to create an IPA. I am not sure, what I have expected, also unsure about what I really got. It is interesting and drinkable indeed. Higher ABV is hardly noticeable, if noticeable at all. This is not your regular beer, this does not fit in no beer style. Enjoyable in its own way. If I had a second chance, I would taste it very chilled.

Bottle. Hazy amber gold with a diminishing foam. Aromas are toffee and brown sugar with herbal and floral notes. Spicy with lots of ginger and coriander. Hints of banana with raisins and marzipan. Flavours are red berries with spicy ginger and some burn. Definite vegetable notes with sweet toffee and a herbal, dry finish. A decent experiment. gunnar (9091) - Sandnes, NORWAY - OCT 6, 2012
Bottle from Brewdog. Pours amber with a small off-white head. Aroma is malty, with some spices underneath. Taste is light sweet malts, woody and oaky kind of bitterness, with a lingering minty/liquorice aftertaste.

Bottle from BrewDogs webshop. Spicy smell and taste. Reminds me a bit of certain spiced beers in Sweden, but not as good. jaghana (6070) - Strasbourg (Alsace), FRANCE - OCT 6, 2012
Bottle 33cl from Fonefan thanks, a clear copper amber beer with good head. Nose is intense on ginger and pepper, aroma is sweet, floral, spicy, peppery, lot of ginger, herbal notes, cinnamon, kind of tree roots touch and light soap notes. Finish is again herbal and peppery, interesting.
