Draught. Clear, reddish copper colour, no head. Herbal-sweet aroma, a hint of strawberry with loads of rosemary and thyme aromas and some resins. Sweetish, slightly sugary malt base, some grains, strong herbal finish with some resiny bitterness. Slightly vegetably. Medium body, smooth texture with nice carbonation. Curiosity. Rusty copper pour with a small white head, decent lacing. Dark fruit, spice, nut, damp smelly socks. Medium carbonation, meaty. There’s an almost artificial astringency which is not hugely pleasant. Sweetness coming the fruit and slightly tart. Arms Race is a curious little beer. ---Rated via Beer Buddy Brandman (2964) - Helsinki, FINLAND - OCT 5, 2012
AMber body, white head. ARoma is quite sharp with spices and some maltiness. Bit fruity. Flavour reminds me Special Holiday Ale, which was excellent. This ain’t. Something nice with the spices, but drinkability suffers a lot. Meilby (11790) - Kristiansand, NORWAY - OCT 2, 2012

Pours deep golden with a off-white head. Aroma has notes of malt, ginger, floral and herbs. Taste is medium sweet and light to medium bitter. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft.
33 cl. bottle split with Benzai @ hotel during Borefts 2012. Ok label - agreeable concept, highly unlikely that it will work - also the choice of herbs to replace the hops is truly puzzling. It is like they almost didn’t want us to drink this stuff but I still got curious. Dark amber with a white head, Smells like mouthwash, half glycerol / half chewing-gum style mint, toothpaste malt. Tastes like chewing-gum mint, toothpaste, bitter herbal, spices and mouthwash. Medium bodied I would say - we tasted some of this stuff but that was that. Are you supposed to drink this - I think you should brush your teeth with this stuff.

Bottle from Brewdog shop. Amber color, white head. Sweet taste with berries, toast, citrus and grapefruit. Good balance in body. Dry bitter finish with berries. Not bad, better than the counterpart of Flying Dog. ColinStronge (14) - Munlochy, SCOTLAND - SEP 30, 2012
Bottle at home, again, thanks to Lewis! Poured golden with obvious carbonation but no head what so ever. Slightly flat in the mouth too. Flavours of spearmint, which is the most noticeable flavour, making it taste like drinking a beer after brushing your teeth. Some woody flavours, herbs (no shit Sherlock!) orange, bay and thyme. It tastes unbalanced and with things going on all over the place, pretty badly melded together. It tastes lie Vikki’s Lush shampoo. Not very pleasant though it is better in the mouth than on the nose brokensail (16689) - Dublin, California, USA - SEP 29, 2012
Pours an amber color with an off-white head. Aroma starts off with an interesting spiciness accompanied by a strong malt sweetness of toffee, caramel, and toast. A bit of pepper skin and cocoa powder, too. The flavor is also a nice balance of spice and sweetness. A lot of caramel, toffee, and toasted bread sweetness. Some chili pepper spiciness along with a bit of cocoa powder adds some depth. Interesting beer. MrHangover (4693) - Den Haag, NETHERLANDS - SEP 29, 2012
Bottle. Clear amber color with a small white head. Aroma of caramel, cinnamon and other sweet spices. Flavor is sweet, spiced and has medium carbonization. Little above average. Habanero (4911) - Tranbjerg, DENMARK, DENMARK - SEP 29, 2012
Bottled. Pours clear amber with a small off-white head. Nose of caramel and spice. Sweet flavor with herbs, orange, spice, especially ginger and again caramel. Medium bodied. oily texture and soft carbonation. Ends up still spicy an with no real bitterness. A little boring.
