Hazy amber with a small off-white head. Aroma is sweet caramel notes, dried fruits, floral notes and alcohol. Taste is light to medium sweet, caramel, dried fruits and alcohol. A bit sharp and unrefined. Medium bodied.
Bottle from Coppers, Newcastle. Bright red-brown in colour with a sweet red fruity flavour, burnt toffee and currants followed by sweet almonds, cola ice pops and rich chocolate and earthy, roasted notes on the finish. Excellent!

Draft at The Brass Tap - U Square. Pours a clear amber color with an off-white head that laces the glass. Has a big fresh hop character, with straw, grass, lemon, and fresh herbs, balanced by caramel and sweet malts. Light-medium bodied, with moderate carbonation and a dry mouthfeel. Maybe this one was mislabeled at the bar; he said it was a special double IPA from Oskar Blues, and it drank like one. Weird. GenDV138 (7361) - Falls Church, Virginia, USA - DEC 6, 2014

Sabores y aromas de maltas caramelizadas con final amargo notable y duradero. spokeydonkey (96) - Albany, New York, USA - NOV 23, 2014
Dark storyline in color with thin lacing. Aroma is roast and a bit of alcohol. Taste is dominated by sweet malts. Palate is the high point as it is silky. Finishes sweet with mild hops for the style and lingering alcohol heat. Too sweet for my tastes. Rudat1992 (11) - Dortmund, GERMANY - NOV 18, 2014
Reddish brown color and a medium cappuccino head. Fruity inserted plums in rum and sherry aroma, it also leaves a touch of coffee taste. Very good barley wine beer.
