Keg and bottled, special
In collaboration with the awesome Oskar Blues from Colorado, we’ve created this big, twisted 10.5% American style barley wine. With big boozy aromas that’ll swirl round your nostrils and a sweet viscosity that’ll cover your tongue from top to tip, this is a beer for people who enjoy nonsense and walking on tightropes. Even when the Circus packs up and leaves, you’re left with a lingering warmth and bitterness playing in your month. - See more at: http://www.brewdog.com/product/shipwrecker-circus#sthash.e9vrs12U.dpuf
Malts: Extra Pale, Munich, Crystal, Chocolate
Hops: Chinook, Cascade, Citra
Twist: American style Barley Wine brewed with Oskar Blues

Bottled. Amber colour with a mediumsized fluffy head. Aroma is sweet fruits, some malts, alcohol and quite caramelly notes as well. Flavour is similar, but quite rich on the crystal malts as well as some wooden and resiny notes. I liked this a bunch!

Clear deep amber beer, big psle tan head. Palate is airy and slightly crisp. Nice malt, toffee that isn’t too sweet. Malt cream. Nice dried fruits. Light hop bitterness, slightly salty. Light finish. The foundation of a excellent barleywine here, it just needs more oomph.
