In collaboration with the awesome Oskar Blues from Colorado, weve created this big, twisted 10.5% American style barley wine. With big boozy aromas thatll swirl round your nostrils and a sweet viscosity thatll cover your tongue from top to tip, this is a beer for people who enjoy nonsense and walking on tightropes. Even when the Circus packs up and leaves, youre left with a lingering warmth and bitterness playing in your month. - See more at: http://www.brewdog.com/product/shipwrecker-circus#sthash.e9vrs12U.dpuf

Bottle from Coppers, Newcastle. Bright red-brown in colour with a sweet red fruity flavour, burnt toffee and currants followed by sweet almonds, cola ice pops and rich chocolate and earthy, roasted notes on the finish. Excellent!

One of my favourite brewdogs, and that is high praise! Multi layered, complex aroma, toast, spruce, citrus, earthy, dark nutty brown colour, with a head that soon sinks. Sweet but bitter taste, its obviously full of booze, but the hops make it difficult to just sip, I want to glug away at it. Its not a straight barley wine, for me its something far more interesting. Love it!

Bottle. Nice deep brown with ruby highlights. Small brownish head. Great aroma of lemon, oranges, resin, candies, maple syrup and toast. Starts sweet but nice, medium-high bitterness counters it. High viscosity, kind of syrupy character. Nice booze note. Awesome mouthfeel. Great beer.

Murky chestnut hue with a lasting beige head. Lovely toffee and sweet leafy aroma. Im getting some hoppy earthy resins with honey and toffee and raisin and light bourbon. Big flavor with leafy hop resins, delicious bitter raisins and dates, orange rind, and sticky sweet earthy toast and caramel malts. Outstanding.

Bottle from Cotteridge Wines. Really enjoyed this. Deliciously boozy. Thick and sweet. Teeth wobbling. Throat asserting. Very hoppy, but the bitterness is balanced mit the schweetness.

Bottle @ home. Dark reddish brown, slim beige creamy head. Imperial nose with big toffee, caramel and honey tones along with hoppy fruitiness. Taste is likewise: big malted, sweet flavours beautifully combining with deep hoppy tropical and citrus fruits and a nice bitterness. Great flavours, complex but still balanced. As it warms, it gets more stout-ish with roasted coffee and chocolate tones coming up along with wine-like properties (red fruits, boozy, more dry). Dry, lingering fruity finish. Oily but soft mouthfeel, big body, medium-low carbonation. Very nice.

Tap at RJ. Aroma is rich malty, caramel, but showcasing generous use of American aroma hops. Citrusy, orange, light resiny. Clear dark brown to ruby colour with stable head. Taste is initially cloying with caramel, chocolate and fruits, but after a moment gets cut through by decisive citrusy and zesty hoppiness, finishing balanced with long duration. Not a beer for faint-hearted. Glorious American barley-wine.

Butelka 0.33L.
Wygląd: Rubinowe, klarowne z iskrą. Piana obfita, drobno pęcherzykowa, kremowa, trwała. Ładnie koronkuje.
Aromat: Intensywny aromat amerykańskich chmielw, dojrzałe owoce egzotyczne, melon, marakuja, papaja i winogrona oraz nuty żywiczne. W tle odrobina nut melanoidynowych i ledwo wyczuwalny alkohol.
Odczucie: Niskie wysycenie, ciało wysokie-, faktura oleista.
