Cask at Stockholm Beer Festival. Cloudy very dark brown. Licorice aroma. Mid-sweet with clean, rounded mouthfeel and medium body. Tarry licorice aroma - not much Belgian style about this Black Belgian Double IPA. Smoky, tarry and concetrated. Salty finish with San Diego style bitterness. Crazy BrewDog stuff as ever. madmitch76 (24511) - , Essex, ENGLAND - JUN 2, 2012

Clear and very dark red - brown beer. A little hop on the nose. Softish palate. Dark and bitter chocolate. Repressed but spicy hops. Some fruit, but well buried. A little off the beaten track.
Slightly cloudy deep copper color with a wafer thin light tan head and a decent amount of lacing. Aroma of Chivas Regal, hints of scotch and oak. Flavor begins with almond and hints of chocolate, a slight edge of hoppy bitterness, and then finishes much more on the sour side. Interesting and complex.
