COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
5am Saint is The Holy Grail of red ales. We live in a world of disposable deities. Someone, somehow has managed to press that big, flashing moronic override button and we’re hard wired straight into the pockets of false idols trying to make a quick buck. Sadly, for a lot of people the same mentality applies to beer. But who’s to know what’s worth worshiping when monolithic advertising budgets have you sucked down the rabbit hole in the blink of an eye? At BrewDog we are on a mission to open as many people’s eyes as possible. Cast away any aspersions and let the crook of BrewDog be your guide in a whirlwind of conformity and mediocrity. Once this ruby liquid forms a foamy halo around your glass, you’ll never want to look back.
Malts: Maris Otter, Caramalt, Munich Malt, Crystal and Dark Crystal Malts
Hops:Cascade, Amarillo, Nelson Sauvin, Simcoe, Ahtanum, Centennial
Twist: Loads of late hops and bucket-loads of dry hops

Mørkerød med blød humlearoma. Lav carb.

Floral hops dominate the malt, a little thin, too much hop for the malt to take. The Hardcore IPA pulls it off, this one doesn’t have enough strength of body to fight the fierce hops back.

Amber/red, white head. Pine hop aroma, nutty caramel malt character. Oily texture low-medium carbonation. Good beer.

Bottle @ Mother-in-laws. Pours Amber/red, big white head. Nice is pine and hops. Huge grapefruit bitterness/tartness, a touch grassy and with some toffee sweetness at the end.

Bottle. Pours a hazy red with a white head. Lovely, big hoppy aroma with pear, lemon and melon. Light body, medium to full carbonation. Rye bread, a little caramel, lemon, orange. Pretty tasty. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle. Dark amber with medium light beige head. Aroma of hops, caramel, black currant juice. Taste of caramel, coffee, grapefruit bitterness. Finish is bit odd (earthy, or leaves, smt like that), but it’s still pretty drinkable.

Aroma: biscuit malts, hops very noticeable. Appearance: dark amber, reddish-white head. Taste: pleasantly sweet. Palate: medium fizz, sweetness turns bitter quite quickly. Overall: great Amber Ale - the hops add a nice kick. Pint at the Brew Dog Shoreditch, London

330ml bottle. Deep red colour, no issues in the appearance. Lots of hops in the taste and smell, but the malt holds up. Nice balance of hop qualities. I can see how this really is one of the archetypes of the hopsy amber ales.
