COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
5am Saint is The Holy Grail of red ales. We live in a world of disposable deities. Someone, somehow has managed to press that big, flashing moronic override button and we’re hard wired straight into the pockets of false idols trying to make a quick buck. Sadly, for a lot of people the same mentality applies to beer. But who’s to know what’s worth worshiping when monolithic advertising budgets have you sucked down the rabbit hole in the blink of an eye? At BrewDog we are on a mission to open as many people’s eyes as possible. Cast away any aspersions and let the crook of BrewDog be your guide in a whirlwind of conformity and mediocrity. Once this ruby liquid forms a foamy halo around your glass, you’ll never want to look back.
Malts: Maris Otter, Caramalt, Munich Malt, Crystal and Dark Crystal Malts
Hops:Cascade, Amarillo, Nelson Sauvin, Simcoe, Ahtanum, Centennial
Twist: Loads of late hops and bucket-loads of dry hops

Smells really good, hoppy and fruity. Looks good, clear red with no saturation. Light brown head, foamy texture and stable. Tastes good, light bitternes, bit sweet. The taste is rather subtle, a little bit malty also. Feels good in the mouth, light bitter aftertaste that lingers for a while.

The complex aroma of this beer is distinctive. The variety of hops give a definite characteristics to the beer. Amber color and a nice head adds to the value of the beer. The carbonation level is great but the texture could be a little bit more creamy. Though the long finish makes me love this beer. A must try beer.

Red-brown color, thin white head. Aroma of caramel, notes of grass and herbs mixed with citral notes. Taste is very complex, on the one hand you’ve got the caramel and chocolate notes of the dark malts, on the other hand the citral and earthy hop notes. Very interesting! What I dont like is the low carbonation.

On the nose: bread/caramel/biscuits and slight pine. Really pleasant array of aromas. Appearance: deep ruby color, very inviting. Taste: Pretty similar to the nose, the caramel really comes through, not really a huge hop presence, but there’s a lovely bready aftertaste. The only weak point of this beer for me is the mouthfeel; it’d be so much better if it were a bit thicker. It’s an awesome tasting beer and if it was just a bit more syrupy I feel that’d go great with the caramel taste that’s so abundant in this beer. Overall this is a great beer and one of my go to beers for a session. Could drink this all night. Great chilled on a summer evening and great at room temperature during the colder months. I love this beer.

11.2oz bottle from Manahawkin Spirits. Pours a slightly hazy dark amber color with a finger of fast fading foamy tan head. Aroma of sweet grapefruit, tangerine, and caramel malt. Taste is similar to the nose. Lots of grapefruit and tangerine up front, toasted and caramel malts follow, and grassy/piney notes in the finish.

Butelka 0.3L. Brunatne z plywajacymi niewielkimi klaczkami. Piana bujna, ciemnokremowa drobno- i sredniopecherzykowa. W aromacie glownie zapachy amarykanskich chemili: slodkie owoce jak mango oraz cytrusy. Dodatkowo wyczuwalne toffe i aromaty chlebowe.

Bottle from Canal’s. Pours out an attractive ruby red color with a small white head. Aroma is of caramel, piney/citrusy hops, mild floral notes and lingering sweetness. Taste is complex and rather well balanced. Sweet caramel, light toast, pine/citrus/lightly floral hop bitterness, bread crust and a touch of bitterness in the finish. Solid.

Bottle @ home. En fin overraskelse! Blev denne efter at smidt den inden ud. Fin frugtig duft af humlen. Frugtig humlet smag uden det bitre slut. Fin ravrød farve med lidt skum. God øl!

Cerveja punk. Aroma frutado excelente. Amargor marcante do lúpulo, sabor gostoso, desce fácil, pois tem um graduação alcoólica boa. Recomendo. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
