COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
5am Saint is The Holy Grail of red ales. We live in a world of disposable deities. Someone, somehow has managed to press that big, flashing moronic override button and were hard wired straight into the pockets of false idols trying to make a quick buck. Sadly, for a lot of people the same mentality applies to beer. But whos to know whats worth worshiping when monolithic advertising budgets have you sucked down the rabbit hole in the blink of an eye? At BrewDog we are on a mission to open as many peoples eyes as possible. Cast away any aspersions and let the crook of BrewDog be your guide in a whirlwind of conformity and mediocrity. Once this ruby liquid forms a foamy halo around your glass, youll never want to look back.
Malts: Maris Otter, Caramalt, Munich Malt, Crystal and Dark Crystal Malts
Hops:Cascade, Amarillo, Nelson Sauvin, Simcoe, Ahtanum, Centennial
Twist: Loads of late hops and bucket-loads of dry hops

Clear amber color with medium and long lasting head. Nice aroma of caramel, malts and citrus hops. Taste is firstly sweet (caramel and mango) and resin aftewards appears medium bitterness which lasting on the tongue quite long. Very good and very drinkable session beer.

I was sure Ive reached it on a tasting with Marko and ogivlado a month before this, but well, mods have done its job merging and aliasing both possibly same and very different beers/radlers... Anyhow, a nice way to celebrate my new milestone, had 0.33 l bottle of this at Mali Flek pub, Split, Croatia on June, 25th. It poured hazy copper body with small white head. Fine fruity aroma, orange hops, peach and tropical fruits. Lightly sweet malty, but also slightly bitter hop flavor, makes it simple, refreshing, yet tasty and pretty full bodied brew. Fruity, peaches, toast and orange all the way through with both pleasant and long sweetish finish. A nice surprise, really a good one!

UPDATED: AUG 22, 2015 Fruity flower flavors, cherry, grapefruit, rich caramel, bitter dry finish. Brewdog-style hoppy brew, not the most subtle but quite efficient.

Aroma: hoppy (resin and light citrus). Appearance: clear amber color, no head. Taste: nice (resin & pine) bitterness, dry. Palate: low carbonation, medium body, nice long bitter finish. Overall: The icon of the style, not outstanding and not disappointing, very nice bitterness, but only one-dimensional.

UPDATED: AUG 1, 2013 Precioso mbar oscuro. Espuma perfecta, persistente.

Mycket amerikanskt humle i smaken. Medelfyllig med bra beska.

UPDATED: JUL 26, 2013 Bottle. Dark amber with reddish reflections and a small, frothy, mostly to fully diminishig off-white head. Aroma is fruity, caramel, peach, orange, grapefruit. Flavor is heavy sweet and light bitter. Dry, hoppy, slightly bitter finish. Aftertaste is kinda waterish. Not very exciting.

Bottle. Clear red colour with low steady head and medium body. Nose of aromatic hops and citrus. Taste of intense but mild aromatic hops, light malt, citrus, spruce and grass. Very dry and medium bitter finish. It was as good as expected. Enjoyed it a lot. Maybe it was a little bit too week and thin in character and body.

Once again BrewDog put up big numbers here. Citrus hoppy nose with an interesting clear amber look. Bit thin on the tongue. Slightly bitter end. From start to end full of aromas - reminded me my first London Pride. Very good one for sure.
