5am Saint is The Holy Grail of red ales. We live in a world of disposable deities. Someone, somehow has managed to press that big, flashing moronic override button and we’re hard wired straight into the pockets of false idols trying to make a quick buck. Sadly, for a lot of people the same mentality applies to beer. But who’s to know what’s worth worshiping when monolithic advertising budgets have you sucked down the rabbit hole in the blink of an eye? At BrewDog we are on a mission to open as many people’s eyes as possible. Cast away any aspersions and let the crook of BrewDog be your guide in a whirlwind of conformity and mediocrity. Once this ruby liquid forms a foamy halo around your glass, you’ll never want to look back.
Malts: Maris Otter, Caramalt, Munich Malt, Crystal and Dark Crystal Malts
Hops:Cascade, Amarillo, Nelson Sauvin, Simcoe, Ahtanum, Centennial
Twist: Loads of late hops and bucket-loads of dry hops

Interesting beer, comes across like an IPA up front but without the bitter finish. Has almost no aftertaste. Interesting, but not amazing. Looks great, nice body and decent woodsy pine aroma.

330 ml can Crystal clear amber to dark amber with small to normal off white head that dissipates into think film. Very nice aroma conbination of caramel, medium roasted malts and nice hoppy cirtrusy and floral aromas. Taste is light to medium sweet, medium bitter. Caramel, toasted malts, some light american hops, nice ballance. Light to light-medium bodied, low to moderate carbonation. Very nice brew compared to punk ipa.

UPDATED: NOV 14, 2017 Fruktig, med en liten bitterhet på slutten. Første american red ale. Godt, men vet ikke helt hvor jeg lander.

It smell and tastes a little like something not fresh, but I'm totally into it.

Mpuntmuts (282) - NETHERLANDS - NOV 1, 2017
UPDATED: NOV 1, 2017 From tap. Amber, slightly hazy with thin off-white head. Faint aroma of malts and syrup. Taste is a bit bland with caramel, malt. Flat and thin mouthfeel. Meh. Wonder if it's because it's from tap but I'm really underwhelmed.

Kavu (5129) - Helsinki, FINLAND - OCT 29, 2017

UPDATED: OCT 27, 2017 My least favourite of 4 samples at Brewdog Brighton. Dark red with a big head and pine aroma. Tastes of blackcurrants, toffee and coffee with plenty of hops.

Vivianos666 (5) - Bouchemaine, FRANCE - OCT 18, 2017 does not count
From the first sip one feels the sensation of drinking a cocktail of exotic fruit sparkling, the slight bitterness at the end of the mouth reminds us that she still has a body of amber beer. She is dressed with an orange color.

PilsnerMeister42 (26) - - OCT 15, 2017
UPDATED: OCT 15, 2017 A very special Red Pale Ale, has medium body and softness, very easy to drink, recommend for appetizers or for enjoying it, nog to stand a meal!
