Cask handpull at The Rake. Nelson Sauvin hops all over this. Really hoppy on the aroma. A beautiful deep red russet colour too. Very drinkable, a little sweet on the malts, but then they do balance the hops pretty well. Very drinkable and the hops are lovely. Christian (13815) - Odense, DENMARK - AUG 29, 2009
UPDATED: FEB 18, 2010 Slightly hazy amber with a small white head. Rich fruity and floral aroma. Sweet caramel flavour with floral notes and very bitter. 7-3-8-3-15KnutAlbert (6792) - Oslo, NORWAY - AUG 17, 2009
Cask at You’ll Never Walk Alone, Kolding, 17 February 2010. Red copper with a small, but lasting white head. Floral, fruity and slightly wooden hops. Sweetish fruity hop flavour with Nelson Sauvin character. Firm bitterness. Big and creamy mouthfeel. 7-4-8-5-15
Bottle from James the brewer.
Glowing gold/ruby beer. A fantastic hoppy aroma. Flowers, dust.
The first sip confirms this – lovely hoppiness, yet there is enough malt and body to cope with it. This may be a test batch- but it does not need any adjustments if you ask me. Peaches, Jaffa oranges, dusty finish. Yummy.

A few bottles thanks to James had at home. Aroma is massivly hoppy, similar to how to disapear with the intence citrusy lemon and herbal grassy bitterness, the malt character is hidden but theres defo some american caramalt influance. Taste is far more balanced than expected, toffee caramel caramalt, big piney resiny citrus hops, good drying bitterness in the finish. Very tasty and drinkable stuff. Fanbloodytastic. Waht can I say. Nelson Sauvin fest all round. Tropical, citric, faint cat pee, all I could want from this glorious hop. Amazing dry then fruity then bitter as hell finish. Brilliant stuff once again from BrewDog.
Cask, gravity at the White Horse, Hedgerley, Bucks 08-08-09 on leg seven of the Thames Tipple The landlord Kevin very kindly brought us out a half pint of this to sample, I then had another half before we left the pub as it came on. Pours copper with a slight haze and an off white head. This had the most magnificent hoppy aroma, grapefruit was all over your nostrils like a rash. Flavours were very grapefruit, incredibly fruity and with long dry finish, nice full on bitterness, so tangy and tasty, all of our group loved this beer and so did I. Pours deep amber with a small, creamy, off-white head. Aroma has strawberries, peach, pine and subdued caramel. Prickly, great carbonation, super dry mouthfeel. Flavour is just great as well. Soft, yet hard bitterness, resiny hops, strawberries, nuts, peach, grapefruity and pine. Caramel background. Super malt balance with a light citric touch to the finish. Very nice!
