Pours deep amber, medium head, dissolving quickly. Nose of grapefruit & milk chocolate. Yeast... Taste is not that well-balanced... Rather expensive for what is actually is. Had better quadruples...

How: Bottle, no 1021.
Where: Tasting 2017-05-06.
Appearance: Hazy amber colour with a small off-white head.
Aroma: Fruit, some hops, spices.
Body: Thin to medium body, low carbonation.
Flavour: Fruit, hops, some spices.
Comment: A bit tired, the age of this one is showing. No hints of alcohol, very drinkable for this high abv.

Lonick (2537) - Edinburgh, SCOTLAND - FEB 2, 2017
Bottle @Craig’s (Abstrakt tasting). Pours dark amber, almost sherry in colour. Nose is raisins, fruits, some sherry, slight petrol on the nose as well. Very little taste, needed some carb which had all gone, slightly odd nail polish remover taste to it.

allmyvinyl (10932) - Edinburgh, SCOTLAND - JAN 25, 2017
Bottle thanks to cgarvieuk. Lumpy amber pour with no head. Sherry-like aromas. Boozy, bit of cardboard. Taste is more of the same. Thin finish. Glad to have tried.

GlasgowTAD (1874) - Glasgow, SCOTLAND - JAN 24, 2017
Bottle at Craigs. Pours clear amber with no head. Aroma is sherry, cardboard and raw alco notes. Taste is sherry, dark dried fruit tart, raw alcohol.

TychoJames (1408) - Örebro, SWEDEN - NOV 7, 2016
Flasla bishops, folkungagatan Stockholm. Efterrecenserad. Ljus bärnstensfärgad vätska. Doft av fat, vanilj och lite druva. Ganska frän och något spritig smak. Cognac och torr fatkaraktär med vaniljig avslutning

Bottle shared at the Commons, from a lucky dip on reluctant scoopers charity draw, 09/11/14 #1847/3200. Hazed orange amber with moderate off white spotting and edgeing. Nose is dark fruit rinds, dates, earthy, woody, bitter citric notes. Taste comprises mellow fruits, dark toffee, vanilla, spice, raisens, prunes. Medium + body, fine carbonation, semi drying close with light alcohol. Ok quad, fairly mellow and easy drinking but no game changer. Perhaps hasn’t aged well ? Not bad - just nothing too exciting.

Bottle shared by Colin. Thanks! A: Cloudy brown, thin head, some lacing. N: Caramel, phenols, vanilla, toffee, and a lot of oxidation. T: Age shows itself again here. It’s sweet but starting to break down and I’m getting a fair amount of oxidation. M: Medium body, alcohol is well hidden. O: I like the concept behind it; wish I could have tried it a long time ago when it was fresher. It’s still tasty, but it should be drunk soon.

Bottle at home. Pous copper, fruity nose, grapes? Sweet fruity, vanilla died off fairly quickly when aging.

Backlog. Tasted at a vertical tasting of the first six abstracts released. Bottles from Systembolaget. More fun experiment than good beer.

teorn88 (7687) - Rimini, ITALY - DEC 27, 2013
Taster from 37.5cl bottle. It pours a deep amber colour with no head. Maybe a small ring of beige bubbles on the side of the glass. Aroma is sweet and bold with big notes of brandy and vanilla. Caramel and tobacco notes. Taste is sweet with some minor drying feeling from the yeast in the finish. Notes of caramel, vanilla, alcohol, brandy. Mouthfell is quite creamy with soft carbonation. Good overall.
