Backlog. Tasted at a vertical tasting of the first six abstracts released. Bottles from Systembolaget. One of the better in the series.

decay_of_mind (25) - CZECH REPUBLIC - FEB 3, 2014
Tasted after 3.5 years. It was like a fountain of taste. Raspberry and whiskey nose. Taste: wild pears with grapefruit palate. A little bit malty.

teorn88 (8066) - Rimini, ITALY - DEC 23, 2013
Taster from bottle at La Cantinetta, Rimini. It pours a whisky-like intense caramel body with the tiniest tan head. Aroma is intensely fruity with raspberries upfront, then leather and vanilla come through. Taste is on the sweet side with more caramel, leather, vanilla and loads of raspberries and strawberries. Light must in the finish. Medium to thin body with soft carbonation. Overall, fantastic complexity.

Yorker (2082) - Holstebro, DENMARK - OCT 13, 2013
Corked 37.5 cl bottle @ home (bottle #2712). Pours murky reddish amber with a lot of sediment and a tiny white head that leaves no lacing. Aroma and flavour is strawberry, raspberry, alcohol, vanilla, and caramel – with a tart and alcoholic finish.

worldbeertaste (1818) - West Midlands, ENGLAND - OCT 10, 2013
Bottle from September 8th 2010. Opened in October 2013 with deanso. 3 years old. Hazy brown with a thin, disappearing, white, non lacy, disappearing head. Smells of citrus fruit, raspberries, and generally berries right away. Malt, aged malt smell (heavy), light acidic tones, raisins and walnut. Some sourness as well. Deep and very complex. Full oily creamy body with soft carbonation.Intense fruity taste of berry mix but mostly raspberries with some woody undertones but you can still taste the alcohol. Vanilla. Strawberries too. Finishes with a taste of raspberry juice with some sourness. Leaves the muon dry and saturated with berry sourness and some lingering malts.

bottle courtesy of and shared with Worldbeertaste, big thanks.
Very thin off white head. Raspberry aroma. Hazy red pour. Fruity alcohol taste. Nice and smooth. It has aged well. Nice brew!

maneliquor (3514) - Perth, AUSTRALIA - SEP 8, 2013
Bottle from Mane Liquor. Pours amber with a small white head. Nose shows heavy stone fruit and sweet citric fruits with light acidic tones and very heavy and sticky caramel. Taste is pretty much spot on that with some added oak undertones and velvet vanilla. Works very well and the age has probably mellowed out the fruit because I don’t get a heap of berry driven tones like I was expecting, more barnyard/funk. Exactly 3 years old today and leaves a good impression. Nice stuff

4.2
McNeillR (2329) - Edinburgh, SCOTLAND - AUG 30, 2013
Fook meh this has held up. Tawny brown with sliver sand head. Pulped, instant freezed raspberries and sly malt pole. Strong dessert sweetness, big billing of crisp greatness. Silky finish of caressing sour, borrowed Yoda whispering hops, ploughed back over the sweet finish. Dreaming of how this stands on the 10th anniversary.Big rusty amber body with boozy listless head. Coppery nose, firey. Dense oily, oxidsed boozeage slips away to floral rustiness. Crystalled throughout, keeping it steely and narrow. Terse finish, mapely

Bottle, Brewdog Garvie Gauntlet

zimbo (974) - SCOTLAND - AUG 30, 2013
Thick muted lingering raspberry. Soothing light sweetness. Balding ring of off white head.

hopdog (13102) - Lansdale, Pennsylvania, USA - APR 1, 2013
Bottle. Ok, this one was different. Berries, herbal, caramel, and some earthiness. I just kept thinking and noting that this one was ’interesting’.
