Bottle. Im really impressed with how the chillies are used in this beer. A good complement to a beer that otherwise is on the sweet side. Notes of chocolate, caramel and licorice. Smooth.

Botteld. A pitch black beer with a huge very dark brown head. The aroma has notes of roasted malt, soy sauce, coffee, and chilis. The flavor is sweet with strong notes of chilis leaving a light burn on the palate, combined with medium notes of chocolate, coffee, roasted malt, and alcohol, leading to a dry, roasted, and chili like finish. Thanks yespr for sharing.

37.5 cL bottle. Pours pitch black with a creamy, dark chocolate brown and short lived head - leaving a bit of lacing. Aroma is dark roasted malty and distinct coffee to chili aroma. Lingering coffee and chili note. Dark chocolate to coffee roasted malty. Sweet dark roasted malty. Light fruity too. Very smooth and mellow integrated.

A deep dark stout with no head. In aroma, beautiful licorice, with sweet chocolate, light anis. In mouth, a beautiful warming alcohol with sweet licorice rum, dark fruits, rich and smooth. Bottle shared with Or¸lando crew, Jan. 6 2011.

Sample from a 375 ml bottle. Body is jet black, topped by a dark choco head slowly fading to a ring of bubbles. Vinous aroma of hard roasted malts, strong coffee and dark chocolate. Some wooden notes, barely noticable alcohol. Taste is utterly complex. Armloads of roasted dark malts. Coffee and chocolate, wood and vanilla. Some cherry tones, and hints of alcohol. The chillies added is difficult to pin-point. They merge well with the alcohol and provides a hot, yet rounded mouthfeel. Thick and oily texture. Big and beautiful, and fully balanced. A very nice one.

D: Doften är enormt stark med mycket chili och lakrits. S: Smaken är otroligt fyllig, lite vinös, kaffe, choklad med en mycket trevlig hetta från kryddorna. Aningen söt, men trots allt mycket lättdrucken.

Bottle. Black with a small tan head that disappeared quickly. Interesting aroma of chili, chocolate and some wood. A lot of licorice in the taste, also chili, light coffee and sweet chocolate. Nice mouth feel, long aftertaste, rather thick body. A nice beer that was easy to drink despite 15%.
