Bottle shared with (and great courtasy of) the fantastic Bergen tasting crew with such stars as ClubGonzo, Inbreak and Palme, and the mighty StoreMy. Has a deep brown colour, almost black, with a light brown head. Smells like dried fruit, prunes, dark chocolate, alcohol, leather, slightly burned, and surprisingly some cat piss. Dried fruits, leather and roast also in the flavour, with licorice, liqueur, port wine, black currant, and the beer feels slightly acidic. Oily mouth feel. A magnificent beer with a wonderful taste. gyllenbock (9328) - Stockholm, SWEDEN - APR 30, 2012
Black with a tan head. Way too sweet both in the aroma and taste. 5 cl was enough for me. I did notice licorice, some vanilla, soy sauce and some wood.

Aroma is roasted and slightly sweet with cocoa. Flavour is oversweet with sugar and cocoa. Smooth palate. Some stinging alcohol starts to occur at the end of the glass. Like AB:04, but without the chili.

Pours a black colour without a head. Aroma of roasted malts, dark chocolate and coffee. Flavour of roasted malts, dark chocolate, sweet berries, coffee, coconut and some wood. Wine-like. Full bodied, oily mouthfeel and a roasty, sweet and berry-driven finish. Soft carbonation. A bit too sweet, but still really tasty.

Pours pitch black color with small beige head. Aroma of tar, syrup, caramel malts, sugar candy, vanilla and berry notes. Flavor of sweet sugar candy, caramel malts, toffee, vanilla, mild roasted malts and dark chocolate. Very sweet and sticky palate with very faint sourish berry nyances. hmph.

Bottled on 20.02.2011 - Bottle #1740/3600 - Pours pitch black with virtually no head at all. Aroma of roasted malts, cocoa, chocolate and coffee. Taste is quite sweet and roasty with hints of chocolate, cocoa and syrup. Finish is sweet and slightly roasty with hints of alcohol. A bit too sweet for my taste, and slightly unbalanced.
Bottle @ Mikkeller. Dark dark brown with small tan head. Roasted malts, chocolate, soy sauce, wood, the barest hint of coconut. Smooth, sticky mouthfeel. ClubGonzo (5685) - Bergen, NORWAY - APR 13, 2012
Bottle, shared with Bergen Beer Geek Tasting Crew’s Epic Abstrakt/Blåbær tasting, feat. special guests Foffern and StoreMy. :-) Jet black body, tiny dark caramel head. Aroma is pretty awesome: intense cocoa-chocolate tones, booze, espresso coffee, roasty dark malts and hints of coconut and wood. Taste is intense cocoa, dark chocolate and coffee, with hints of ashes and sweet malts. Dry mouthfeel, full body. Pretty damn good stuff.
