375mL bottle at The Bishop Arms Folkungagatan, pours jet black with just a few bubbles of brown head. Aroma screams coconut upfront, followed by decadent cocoa notes. The coconut and cocoa are pretty much the main two qualities on the nose. Flavour is intensely sweet, almost sickly sweet, but somehow fitting, with notes of coconut and cocoa upfront, a little caramel, and lots of residual sugars. This is fairly cloying in sweetness, but somehow it works. These uber-sweet impie stouts are usually detracting to me, but this one feels elegant and complex. Excellent stuff. Perhaps only second to Abstrakt AB:04 in the series. Inexplicably great.

07-OCT-2017, bottle @home, with Ulkløbben. Dark, dark brown with no head. Huge malty profile. No hops left. Chocolate, cacao. No carbonation, full body. Still quite nice.

October 2017 - Bottle share at DonMagi's Leaving Party. Thanks! As 'BrewDog Abstrakt AB:05', 2011 vintage, #1529/3600. Pours an opaque black, no real head forming. Aroma is dodgy – OXO cubes and meaty. Body is smooth with soft carbonation. Taste is again meaty, molasses, big and tangy, chocolate. Over time the flavour comes into its own. Pretty decent overall. 375ml bottle pours an oily black with some beige head. Nose is meaty, malty, molasses, port, heavy beef bullion. Flavor is grainy, molasses, licorice, some coconut, caramel. Finishes sweet and a touch hot.

Bottle shared with Zlotta and Koelschtrinker. Fast schwarze Farbe, geringe beige schaumkrone. Geruch ist sehr röstmalzig, Lakritze, toffee, schokoladig. Geschmack ist sehr malzig, süß, viel Lakritze, schokoladig, kräftig, alkoholisch.

Koelschtrinker (21318) - K?ln (Cologne), GERMANY - APR 29, 2017
Dunkel malziger Antrunk. Schwer schokoladig, deutliche Süße. Geringe Herbe, vollmundig, Kakao, sehr langer Nachhall. 8/12/10/12/13/12

Zlotta (3731) - Hagen / Düsseldorf, GERMANY - APR 29, 2017
Sampled from 0.375 l bottle. Very dark red to black, no head. Sweetish-malty, slightly roasty aroma of dark chocolate, coffee, licorice and some tar. Very sweet, malty, moderately roasty taste of dark chocolate, coffee, licorice and some praline, followed by a long, rather roasty-bitter, slightly dry and a bit warming-alcoholic finish. Medium to full body, oily mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Very nice!

DerGantzel (445) - Aarhus, DENMARK - MAR 22, 2017
Bottle from 2011. Aroma of chocolate and coffee. Black without any foam. High sweetness and light bitterness. No carbonation, creamy texture and full body. The taste of chocolate is dominating. Overall a good experiance.
