Overripe fruit and alcohol in the aroma. Licorice, soy, coffee and dark chocolate o taste. Okay bitterness that fills the mouth for a long time. Okay beer but perhaps a little strong. 37.5 cl bottle at home from Bitter Virtue, Southampton, as a gift, many thanks! Nose is white wine, floral, fruity. Body is clear deep ruby brown, flat head. Aroma is fruity, honey, waffle, dextros, milk chocolate, pancake. Medium to heavy sweet, light bitter, medium fruity sour. Finish is biscuit, pancake, medium lasting fruity medium sweet-sour, light alcohol warmth. Full body, slick slightly sticky texture, no carbonation. Relative easy, very unique, one of the most interesting beer I’ve ever drunk, fantastic. angel77 (4052) - oviedo, SPAIN - FEB 13, 2016
Bastante buena y singular. Tinco (623) - Linköping, SWEDEN - DEC 16, 2015
From cellar. Should be coming up on four years now. Had it when it was released and remember it being pretty bad...now: pours a clear dark brown liquid with no head. Aroma: sweet caramelly malts, dark fruits, some coffee, smells nice. Taste: sweet caramel, booze, roasted coffee and malts. Quite smooth and thick sugary oily beer. Quite nice and better now than when released. worldbeertaste (1819) - West Midlands, ENGLAND - OCT 29, 2015
Aged for four years. First sip, I can honestly say I have never had a beer like this before. Dark reddish brown with no head or carbonation. Pours clean. Smell is intense as soon as the bottle is open. Smells of toasted sourdough bread, earth, dates, deep marmite and malt. Sort of like a barley wine but less sweet. Taste is of intense malts and you can feel the booze still coming trough but with warmth not spirit flavour. Almonds, wood, dates, and chocolate. Bitter with elements of sweetness. It reminds me of fruitcake. Full oily body. Even after four years the yeast and booze comes through. It is an great beer compared to your typical sort but in the league that its trying to play it comes off a bit amateur. Nonethless, a decent ASA.

Lasting beighe head. Solid golden color. Aroma of instant coffey powder and almond paste. Sweet tart taste with much vegetable hop taste. camk91 (1) - AUSTRALIA - MAY 15, 2015 does not count
Bottle 1221. Bottled 06/12/11, opened and consumed 15/5/15. Unclear brown pour, almost nonexistent carbonation, very strong aroma of malt and molasses. Strong malt taste with slight notes of caramel. Not something I would make a habit of drinking, especially considering the price. People looking for a very strong, flat, dark beer may enjoy it. kraddel (9335) - Antwerp, BELGIUM - APR 27, 2015
Pours unclear amber. Totally flat looking, no head, no bubbles. Smell is intense, and reminds a lot of a barleywine. Very intense grains, some sweet aspects and just that spot of boozyness that is intense, but not alcoholic....
Taste is intense malts, has some chocolate tones, Mildly bitter, and a tad sweet. Very sticky MF, very damn close to 0 ( as with most of the AB’s ) . Interesting taste profile, but I still think its a weird Idea. Enjoyable beer though, if only it wasnt priced this damn high ( and if it had a decent carbo level ) Finn (8305) - Tromsø, NORWAY - APR 9, 2015
Flaske 330ml - 6446/7902. Spandert av Rune. Delt med ham på Nerstranda 11 Mar 15. Amber. Litt uklar. Lavt skum. Søt plommearoma. Svakt sherrypreg. Smaken plommer. God - men overraskende tynn & uvariert. Blir for søt. Rune (13743) - Tromsø, NORWAY - MAR 13, 2015
375ml bottle topped by a cork and a wire cradle, no. 6446 (of 7902). Picked up at the Brewdog bar in Glasgow a few years ago. Orange-reddish coloured body with a tiny layer at the top. Dried fruity aroma alongside moments of spiced black malts. Chocolate malts, plums and a backdrop of basement to the flavour character. Rather sweet aftertaste. Tingling alcohol on the tongue. Medium to full bodied. Nice, not outstanding though (shared with Finn, Tromsø 11.03.2015).
