Beese (2733) - Watford, Hertfordshire, ENGLAND - MAY 22, 2014
Bottle at BrewDog, Edinburgh on 17 May. They had a few in stock, but the fridge was emptied of them by the end of my session. Poured amber and was completely flat, with pretty much no head. Aroma of butterscotch, booze and ripe berries. Sharp hop flavour with notes of toffee and spice. Finish was bitter grass, caramel and lavender. Different...

(Bottle) Reddish amber colour with brief, beige head. Malty, fruity nose with dried fruit, caramel, oak wood, red fruit, honey, hints of tar and smoked chilli. Malty, fruity taste with notes of dried fruit, caramel, hints of smoke, honey, red berries, orange marmalade, chocolate, toffee and a slightly bitter-sweet finish with a hint of alcohol shining through. Full body, with viscous mouthfeel. Fairly sweet. Quite interesting and a bit hard to define style-wise. Nice one.

deyholla (11597) - Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA - MAR 13, 2014
Bottle thanks to a trade! Pours a cloudy deep amber brown with no head whatsoever. Aroma has strong sweet grains and a syrupy note with toffee and a good amount of booze. Flavor has strong toffee and sweet grains with a syrupyness and a bit of booze. An odd beer for sure.

bergstaden (2975) - Røros, NORWAY - MAR 3, 2014
Light amber with small white head that goes away fast , no carbonation - Strange medicinal aroma along with some alcohol - Strange taste with some sweetness and strong alcohol - Finish is sweet burning alcohol - Strange thing that was not that good

TBone (17524) - Pori, FINLAND - FEB 14, 2014
Bottle 375ml at Beer Hunters. Clear deep amber color, tiny white head. Toffee, light alcohol, barley in the aroma. Medium-bodied. Toffee, barley, some alcohol. A bit weakish palate after 2+ years of aging.

EdKing (2584) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - FEB 6, 2014
Bottle shared at Gunnar tasting, originally bought in Utobeer. Colour is clear reddish, with a small white head. Nose is complex. Marmalade, Marmite (yeast extract), caramel, orange citrous, earthy, dirty, alcoholic. Taste is earthy, slight damp cellar, sticky sweet orange, yeast extract saltiness, slight oxidisation but it’s not hurting it, caramel. Sweet and strong but a little too much going on.

Dark caramel copper pour not much of a head. Aroma is thick caramel and toffee, some oxidised stale malt. and honey. Sticky palate sweet. This one hasn’t lasted very very.

Taster from a 37.5cl bottle at La Cantinetta, Rimini. It pours a clear deep amber colour with almost no head. Aroma is roasted coffee beans, caramel and some booze. Taste is quite sweet with candy sugar, roasted coffee, roasted malts, dark fruit notes. Quite full bodied with soft carbonation. Good

olsvammel (7220) - Örebro, SWEDEN - DEC 25, 2013
Bottle from Systembolaget. Chocolate and caramel on the nose. Very sweet taste, lots of caramel and a very strong bitterness. You can really feel the alcohol. Not sure about the whole Blonde IS, it’s close to a barley wine though.

2.6
Caap86 (37) - Rognan, NORWAY - DEC 24, 2013
Tastes funny. A little christmasy. Quite good but not nearly a usual beer. Won’t be drinking this again.
