Bottle at beertasting with Carsten Bertelsen 19 / 6 2013. Very dark brown, almost no head. Thought this was a black ipa, but it is a belgian ale. Aroma, sweet berries(almost perfume) . Taste, berries, some whiskey notes.

Big boozy aroma , with a touch of spice from the whisky. Drinking now like a fortified wine, lots of dark fruit and still quite a tart finish .

Lonick (2537) - Edinburgh, SCOTLAND - MAY 30, 2017
Bottle @Craig’s (Abstrakt tasting). Pours black, slight red tinge, no head or carb. Nose is whisky, boozy, cardboard, berries, peat. Taste is raisin, figs, slightly tart on the finish at first then it gets sweet.

OminouSC2 (966) - Mora, SWEDEN - JUL 4, 2016
Sweet notes of caramel from the first hit to the nose. Then you find a lot of berries, almost fruity in its tartness. Taste is sweet with layers of slightly tart berries that really binds it together. The alcohol is a bit too present. Really nice.

Pours pure black with no head. The aroma is like a dark, stewed cherry and licorice. The taste is sweet cherry, smokey peat and a little earthy. There’s zero carbonation in this, I’m not sure if it’s how it was meant to be or if it’s because the bottle is a few years old as I’ve heard these bottles can lose their carbonation.

jmgreenuk (10378) - Kuala Lumpur, MALAYSIA - JAN 14, 2016
Bottle courtesy of Deanso. Poured a clear dark brown with a round white head. The aroma is strong molasses, wet malt, rich fruit, raisins, alcohol. The flavour is moderate sweet with a smooth, rich, red berry fruit, alcoholic palate. Full to medium bodied with soft carbonation.

deanso (10282) - Chiang Mai, THAILAND - JAN 14, 2016
37..5cl bottle from my cellar 2 or 3 years old. Very thin ring tan head. Clear bkack pour. Some raspberries. Some barrel notes. It’s mellowed nicely.

mecafilo (219) - Perugia, ITALY - DEC 19, 2015
Bottle @ home. Pours with a very dark reddish brown colour, almost no head. Aroma is very fruity at first (woodberries), then it gets very chocolatey (notes of vanilla and licorice, too); after tasting, quite evident notes of scotch; inviting. Taste is medium to heavy sweet, slightly bitter, quite sour (strange!). Light to medium body, viscous oily texture, completely flat.
