COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Bottled, special series
AB:14 is the latest release in our Abstrakt series and is an oak aged Imperial Weizenbock. Expect a big, bold mouth-feel backed by some powerful banana, caramel, toffee, vanilla and spicy hits woven together with some classic weizen notes. All balanced by an eclectic yet bizarrely balanced variety of hops from America (Simcoe) the Czech (Saaz) and the UK (Bramling Cross).
The beer is at 10.2% ABV and has been aged on toasted French oak chips. As close to bannoffee pie as a beer can taste. Seriously.
This beer was the brainchild of our German Lead Brewer Franz. - See more at: http://www.brewdog.com/blog-article/impending-liquid-anarchy-some-upcoming-beers#sthash.Fvn7kB0i.dpuf

ration (2238) - Tampere, FINLAND - JUN 27, 2017
270617. Bottle at home. Opens - finally jesus that cork was tight - with that satisfying pop. Pours clear mahogany with almost no head. Aroma strong toffee, caramel, alcohol, paint thinner, ripe fruit, raisins and oak. Hint of banana but not much. The hops are long gone by now. Surprisingly smooth on the tongue, almost no burn. A nice raisiny after taste. Very nice and has aged well. Would be nice to know how it was new. Not Bad.

AtronSeige (1538) - Johannesburg, SOUTH AFRICA - JUN 25, 2017
Aroma: Medium bready, fruity, apricot brandy, Appearance: Dark brown body, hazy with floaters. No head, Slight legs on the glass. Flavour: Medium apricot brandy, Medium-light banana, bready Fruity finish with lingering apricot, alcohol, Mouthfeel: Full body. Light warming. Low carbonation. Overall: The beer tastes as if a cheap, illegal liquor was added to it nothing bad, but it shows minor promises of headaches and vomiting. It lacks malty richness. 330 ml bottle, poured. 10C Weizenbock

A: Dirty reddish brown with almost no head. N: Massive flavours. Caramel. Rusks. Fudge. Raisins. Cinnamon. T: Prunes and dark peaches. Cloves. Ginger. Cinnamon P: Medium O: The lack of carbonation is a bit of a let-down, but understandable given the long fermentation and high alcohol. Each new sip offers up new flavours, and they all work so well together. Great beer and dangerously drinkable for its ABV. Fortunately, at this price, you won’t be having too many in a row.

Light brown, no head at all. Aroma roasted nuts, toffee, herbs, cocoa. Palate medium, low carbonation. Taste sweetish, caramelised cherries, banana, sweet. Great beer. Warming finish. Pleasant but too sweet for me.

Bottle from Gurthnar, many thanks. Darker amber colour, no head. Aroma is mostly of the wood and barrel. Noble alcohol, I suppose rum. Molasses, tobaco, weizeny notes just subtle in background. Taste is again mostly About barells, but weizeny notes are more present - bananas and spices, some cheries. Noble alcohol. Sweet and a bit salty. Alcohol present. Very Good.
