COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A salt caramel popcorn imperial ale. Bourbon and rum barrel aged, this 12.8% ale has complex and twisting flavours. Bitter caramel, wood, smoke, spice, treacle and vanilla are all present and intertwine against a smooth and lightly chewy mouthfeel. The salt caramel popcorn lends subtle hints of a smoky brininess.

Benzai (16931) - Oirschot, THE NETHERLANDS, NETHERLANDS - NOV 13, 2014
Bottle @ weekly tasting shared by Dutchdrebus. Dark red-brown color, virtually no head. Aroma is sweet, sugar, a hint of wood, liquor and liquorice. Taste malts, sweet, sugar, a touch of alcohol, liquor. Medium to full body, medium carbonation. Lovely beer. Very good.

Bottle @ benzai. Dark red to brown colour with no head. Smells sweet, chocolate, roasty, cherry, berry. Tastes chocolate, roasty, sweet, slightly red fruits, vanilla. Immensely deep, full body, very soft carbo.

375ml bottle from brewdog.com. Pours black with very thin tan head. Was expecting a big hit of salted caramel in the nose, but got nothing whatsoever. No salted caramel in the taste either. Feel a bit ripped off. Still, a lovely sumptuous Imperial Stout, nonetheless.. just a bit disappointing.

panacea (94) - Mölndal, SWEDEN - AUG 30, 2014
Pours very dark brown with a almost nonexisting head. Nose is incredible! Vanilla, caramel fudge, raisins, maple syrup, creme brulé. Taste is not as impressive. Very boozy. Some sour tartness, almost like a berry wine. Medium to thin body. Very interesting and fine tasting beer indeed as always with Abstrakt but nothing super special.

Hur tänkte som här? Verkligen inte god nånstans. Drack den på brewdog i Stockholm. Nästan att jag ångrade det ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

The aroma of oak, red berries and light alcohol. The flavor has too much alcohol but have small hints of raisins and berries. A heavy bitterness that fills the mouth a long time. But I can not really say that I am enjoying the beer. Bottle 5743 of 8250. Follow me @ Kung av öl @ Facebook for more pictures and ratings.

UPDATED: JUL 13, 2014 Bottle #5309 of 8250:
Pours dark brown with a small head.
Aroma is sweet and has notes of raisins, port, brown sugar and alcohol.
Sweet and sticky flavor with notes of port, toffee, oak and raisins leading to a warming alcohol finish.
Gets better and better as it warms up in the glass.

375ml bottle, gråsälstasting #4. Near black, thin white head. Woody, toffeish, sweet dark fruity alcohol infused aroma. Flavor has dark fruits, candy notes (popcorn?), booze. Long finish, sweet stuff. Quite enjoyable but boozy.
