Notes of cocoa, dark fruits, dates and plums, dark brown, full body, oily, unexepectedly dry, taste is very intense but similar to the nose, a bit bozy but with a good warming in the final...very good fro me.

Look: clear dark red, no head. Aroma: sherry, sweet coffee with brandy, tobacco. Taste: moderate sweet, drying alcohol, spicy bitterness, berry tartness. Flavour: plum wine, tar, cardamom, raisins, brandy. It seems to be over-attenuated. Too light body. However very good.

Maersk (358) - MOLDOVA - AUG 29, 2017
Dirty brown, no head. Spices, barrel, some wine and malts in the fruit. Taste is quite mild with jerez notes, barrel, wine. Oaky and chocolaty bitter aftertaste.

AtronSeige (1788) - Johannesburg, SOUTH AFRICA - JUL 6, 2017
Aroma: Medium-high apricot. alcohol. Medium zoute drops, cherry. Appearance: Hazy, black body. Small, light-brown head, low retention. Flavour: Medium zoute drop, light alcohol, cherry. Medium-low bitterness. Dry finish with lingering light licorice. Mouthfeel: Full body. Medium-low carbonation. Light warming. Overall: The beer lacks the hoppiness associated with the style. The experience is quite flat, akin to eating licorice that has been spiked with moonshine. 375 ml bottle, poured. 22B. American Strong Ale

Great, very rich aroma of wood, rum, tobacco and dark malts. It does not look pretty though - no head, brownish color. Taste of berries (little bit sour), wood, rum and dark malts. Very good one.
