UPDATED: JAN 12, 2018 Bottle from Brewdog. Black color, beige head. Bitter taste with coffee, roasted malts, toffee, chocolate, nuts, dark fruits and a bit of licorice. Bitter finish with roasted malts, dark fruits, toffee, chocolate, coffee and licorice. Very nice imperial porter.

A complex mix of caramel, dark chocolate and burn coffee, but way too strong in alcohol and sweetness.

Keg at Brewdog Shepherd's Bush as BrewDog Abstrakt AB:24, 12%. Opaque black with a ring of brown head. Aroma is really big chocolate truffle and roasted malts, some cola vibes. Body is light and a little frothy with soft carbonation. Taste is rum and cola, rounded chocolate biscuits, touch of strawberry I reckon, like a strawberry and rum infused chocolate digestive biscuit. Body is a bit thin. Alcohol is not mega noticeable. Still, I think it's a little thin and boozy all considered. Good but hoping for a little more. (8-4-7-3-15=3.7)

20Dec2017 Sweet, dark chocolate, cacao, caramel, sweet, dark fruits, prunes, dark molasses. Hazy, very dark brown, small, creamy, beige head. Light bitter. More, dark, bitter chocolate, cacao, dark chocolate cake, more burnt molasses, soft carbonation, full bodied. Very nice, rich and intense. Keg at BrewDog, Shoreditch.

UPDATED: DEC 27, 2017 Wonderful baltic porter with lots of flavours. Alcohol comes through but goes nicely with strong flavours.

Bottle at home, 25/12/17. Black with a decent tan cap. Nose is treacle toffee, candied fruit rinds, brown sugar melt, dates, light coffee bean, molasses, marzipan. Taste comprises toasted brown sugar, coffee, light spice, dried fruits, raisins, light cocoa, treacle, mellow roast. Full bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close with a light boost. Solid porter ... just a touch sweet for me to be a great ... would have preferred a roastier blast.

Mad Dog Martin (142) - - DEC 22, 2017
UPDATED: DEC 22, 2017 Bottle grow the Dog online. I’m really getting into stouts and porters interspersed with IPAs, they compliment one another well. So this one is black, Bible-black with a light fawn head. A choccy aroma, sweet and breadth. The taste is complex with malts, cocoa, blackcurrant and stone fruit, also vanilla, caramel and treacle. Worth the price tag.

deepdrinker (364) - Leeds, ENGLAND - DEC 21, 2017
UPDATED: DEC 21, 2017 Pours black with a fast dissipating brown head, aroma of coffee, malt . Medium body with a sweet caramel , chocolate, coffee taste
