Bottle. This is a nice beer, but you’re better off going for one of their stouts if you’re forced to choose.

330ml bottle. Pours dark with amber highlights. Thick aggressive head with lacing. Aromas of vanilla, oak, chocolate, coffee. Taste like nose but also has a slight tart note as well. Quite Good

Ingen höjdare. Inte riktigt min smak. Brewdog kan bättre än så här. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Originally an occasional (’Vanilla Porter’) brewed for the North Bar in Leeds, but Brewdog apparently adopted this as a year-round brew in the meantime. Advertised as a Baltic porter, but clearly top-fermented and in that respect more of a ’typical’ porter (if such a thing exists altogether). Yellowish beige, creamy, near rocky head, colour a very opaque ruby brown, bordering on black. Complexely perfumed aroma of candi syrup, molasses, port wine, soy sauce, pear, dates, liquorice and tobacco, taste kicks off slightly acidic (with even a hint of citric acid), quickly overpowered by a well-rounded, ’dark’ fruitiness, bit syrupy and powdery mouthfeel, deeply malty foundation, in the finish lightly toasted bitter (some coffee), the drying acidity from the onset again appearing. Not the best beer I’ve had from this progressive micro, but an interesting porter nonetheless.

A dark brown porter with a thin brown head. In aroma, sweet fruity chocolate malt with caramel, dark fruits, smooth resinous coffee, very nice. In mouth, a nice peated chocolate malt with light smokiness, dark fruits, light coffee, very nice. BB Dec 2012.

The vanilla’s not all up in your grill like with some vanilla porters but it’s definitely there, balanced nicely with roasted malt and chocolate.

Szép barnás hab, sötét, de vörösen áttettsző, malátás illatú. Pörkölt jegyek visszafogottak. Markáns komlókeserűség. Nagyon kellemesen iható porter.

Clear black ruby with red highlights, brown head Malts, licorice, caramel, hops, some toffee Very bitter, some ashes, rich malts, raw licorice
