DuffMan (10143) - the land of bitumen, beef & beer, Alberta, CANADA - NOV 25, 2011
Bottle. Dark brown with a medium cream colored head. Aroma is roasty, some coffee and bitter chocolate. Bitter roast flavors, light coffee, light anise, hints of dark fruits perhaps, but just hints. There is an acidity in the finish that lends a nice drinkability in this is a pretty straightforward porter.

Boutip (6271) - Gatineau, Quebec, CANADA - NOV 22, 2011
Bottle: Poured a black color porter with a nice brown medium head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma of light black chocolate and some light notes of roasted malt are pleasant though more tame then I had expected considering the brewer. Taste is a mix between some light roasted malt notes with light dry black chocolate notes. Body is about average with good carbonation and no apparent alcohol. This was an OK offering but would have liked a bit more complexity.

Svesse (8464) - Hsselby, SWEDEN - NOV 19, 2011
(Draught at Akkurat, Stockholm, 17 Nov 2011) Dark brown colour with hints of ruby. Lasting beige head. Malty, roasted nose with notes of coffee, chocolate and ashes. Malty, roasted taste with coffee, chocolate, dark bread, vanilla and a generous coffee bitterness in the finish. Medium body, quite dry. Very nice porter.

Bottle split with mcberko. Pours a translucent brown / red with a very small head. Aroma of roasted malts, caramel, and light coffee. Flavour of roasted malts, caramel, toasted nuts, and some wood. Medium bodied. A little thin, but not bad for a porter.

omhper (24781) - Tyres, SWEDEN - NOV 15, 2011
Draught at Akkurat, Stockholm. Near black, small head. Raisiny nose. Dryish with clean, hard mouthfeel. Extremely hard and sharp. Salty and fruity with aluminium and green apples. Primitive, harsh and shallow. What I would expect Bud Light Porter to taste like.

EdKing (2551) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - NOV 13, 2011
Bottle from Utobeeer. Pours opaque black with very big foam off white head, which stays well. Nose is alcoholic engine oil, roasted barley malt, raspberry off the hops and chocolate underneath that. Good array of aromas competing with each other. Taste is very nice. Getting the chocoalte and coffee, but also the citrous, raspberry and ale fruit off the hops. Near perfect balance of interesting flavours, which mixes ale character with choc and coffee stout character. Has a sort of lactic creaminess on the finish too.

bergstaden (2874) - Rros, NORWAY - NOV 5, 2011
Black with brown head - malty aroma with hints of roast and caramel - good malt body with roasted malts, caramle and coffee - good lingering malt finish - this was very good

humlelala (1374) - DENMARK - NOV 4, 2011
(33 cl bottle; BBD: April 1st 2014) Pours black with medium, toffee head and beautiful lacework. Aroma is strangely subdued to the point of being faint. Possibly some banana. Watery on the palate, medium-bodied with medium carbonation and an astringent finish. Taste is slightly dark and bitter but not by much. Bland and boring. Girlfriend says: "Its metallic."
