Fuck the system. Forget what you know. What has been. Bow to no one. History is bereft. Reorder. Disorder. Embrace the unknown. The groundbreaking. The challenging. The ichorous revolution is upon us. Try until your fingers bleed and your mind is numb.Try harder. Try this. Try that. Try the other. Try what hasn’t been tried. Then try again. Keep trying. Forge the new. The molten elixir awakens.

A 16.5% IPA Evolution. Taking our favourite beer style to the next level, Anarchist Alchemist is a triple dry hopped triple IPA. Did not think triple IPAs existed? Neither did we. So we brewed one.

Bottle at North Bar, Leeds. It is fairly old and had been living in a fridge, so Im giving it the benefit of the doubt. Bottle looks good, pours an amber orange, couple of fingers of head. Aroma is orange, caramel malts, a little hint of butter. Taste is initially sweet, with caramel, butterscotch, toffee, with some hops coming towards the end. Oh, and booze. ALOTTA booze. It seems flawed. Syrupy mouthfeel with a long finish that doesnt have any sense of refinement - its a sugary, bitterish Jackson Pollock. Id expected a lot more.

Aroma; tropic juice, jungle malts, tropic wooden impressions. Look; silky peachy golden body, lowhead. Taste; wooden hops, oak, berries, winey juice, tropic fruits, palms, sweet jammy impressions - lingering juicy warming nice finish. Feel; good body, soft. Overall; jammy stuff, rescued by finish.[5033cl.btl/can 14% BB:15.3.2017 #072 - B by Rune in Glasgow 2011 - [email protected]@Rune’sTower]

Flaske 330ml - batch 072. Delt med djoeye og Rune i WCveien 10 Des 16. Gylden. Filmskum. Søt plommearoma. Myk munnfølelse. Smaken balansert. Mye frukt. På grensen til likør.

330ml bottle, 14.0 % abv, batch 072, stored properly in my cellar after buying a bottle in April 2012 at the BrewDog bar in Glasgow. Amber in body appearance, slightly hazy. Filmy layer, not much lacing. Jam-like aroma of plums, prunes and wood. Marmalade flavours together with bread, pine, and wood. Long-lived finish, warming down the throat. Full bodied. Heavy sweet sipper (Shared with Finn and djoeye at a rating session in Tromsø 10.12.2016).

Batch 072. Pours an hazy amber colour, with a small head taht fades soon. Almost no lace. Aroma y fruity, raisins, resine, dark fruits, orange jam, apricot, molasses, candy, wood, alcohol, some tropical fruits notes as it warms, but that hoppy really. ... Thcik and creamy palate, no carbonation here. Taste is like the aroma, more alcoholic, whisky, orange liquor, dark fruits, apricot raisins, sweet finish with a touch of hops and tropical fruits.. A beast.

Tried 2012 version of this, so 4-year old. On tap at Carft Heads on the occasion of their 7th Anniversary. Poured dark amber, not much foam. Aroma is rich, sweet and fruity, sort of ripe feel of fruity. Tastes like a hoppy barleywine. Of course, most hops have faded but the beer itself has also mellowed down and achieved a better balance - but on the sweeter end. Something is still left of hops, mixed with booze bitterness. Overall feels like a barleywine - but like a very good barleywine.

Not my cup of tea, too strong in alcohol. However, nice notes of toffee, oily body, lingering aromas.

330ml bottle from Brewdog online store. Pours a dark reddish amber colour with a tan foam head that diminishes. Nose of toffee, chewy caramel, molasses, orange marmalade, pine resins, booze. Flavour is sweet, malty, caramel, toffee, brown sugar, raisins with orange pith, grapefruit, pine resin, warming and grassy spicy bitterness. Oily mouthfeel, medium bodied, soft carbonation, lingering sweet warm boozey tangy bitter finish. Very drinkable.
