33cl-fles gekregen van Banzale (als Santa Paws). Merci!

I bought this bottle at Amstein. I drank it yesterday with my wife at home, in Lausanne. In my opinion, it is not the best one from this brewery, but it is drinkable and it is just my personnal comment. Firstly, the color is brown/black and opaque, thin foam, normal carbonation. The taste is a bit watery for the style, malt, a bit roasted, dry, some hop but there is a lack of aroma, I think that it is a perfect beer to start a night with friends, easy to drink on the beach, one beer after the work.

Pite jako "Santa Paws". Trochę słodko, miodowo-goździkowo w aromacie. Barwa bursztynowo-brązowo-rubinowa, przejrzyste.

Bottle 0,33. Bottled as Santa Paws. Pours brown with large creamy off-white head, some lacing. Aroma of roasted malts, cocoa, caramel, dried fruits, hint of coffee. Taste is somewhat thinner than the aroma, with notes of dark chocolate, dried fruits, hops, biscuits,. Medium body and average carbonation.

Dark amber with fresh light brown head. Nose relatively small but creamy and malty. Taste is lots of malts and some herbal notes. Overall good.

On tap at BrewDog Glasgow. Brown, fairly dark and fair,y impenetrable. A fair bit of lacing on the glass. Oak, root beer, chocolate on the nose. Sweet taste overall but theres a notable fresh hoppiness to the end of the sip leading up to the finish. Highly carbonated and refreshing. Sarsaparilla in the aftertaste. Not a complex recipe but certainly tasty and an extremely drinkable example of the style.

Pours brown from the bottle with a beautiful, thick and creamy head that slowly susides. The aroma has the malty sweetness of a Bavarian Helles, but with a chocolate undertone. This feels like a prelude to the taste, which reminds me of a black and tan, but you could also just say Schwarzbier. Notes of honey, chocolate, but also a vague green apple sourness. The flavors feel faded out on a light-bodied palate that feels out of place here. A nice try, nothing great, but it slowly grew on me.

Brown body and a light brown head. Aroma of roasted malt, chocolate, honey, caramel. The taste is medium to heavy sweet and medium bitter. Very good beer.

Bouteille 33cl, V&B Grenoble.
