Bottled as Santa Paws bought at Zlý Časy. Tastes like christmas, caramel aroma, floral hops, medium body, amber-to-brown colour.

Alengrin (5635) - BELGIUM - SEP 25, 2017
Shared by Craftmember at BrewDog Brussels, under its new name Santa Paws. Moussy, lightly lacing, pale greyish head over a lightly hazy, translucently bronze-chestnut beer with coppery tinge. Aroma of filter coffee, dried redcurrant, butterscotch, pine branches, fig, nutmeg, hazelnuts. Clean 'dried' fruitiness in the mouth, hint of fig, only restrainedly sweetish with a soft sourish touch, soft carbo, minerally notes here and there while a lean, slim, smooth and bit thinnish (unsurprisingly seen the ABV) nutty and subtly caramelly maltiness develops, acquiring a mildly toasty bitterish edge towards the end; leafy, herbal, even somewhat tea-like hoppiness rises up but restrainedly so, nutty maltiness lingers afterwards. Very accessible, very easily quaffable beer (certainly to BrewDog standards), a bit on the thin and straightforward side perhaps, but certainly very well made as a kind of Scottish ale (the lower ABV part of the family) with added coffee. I'd go for something a bit more 'voluminous' on Christmas Eve, though...

U mnie występuje pod nazwą "Santa Paws"
Butelka z datą : 10/10/17
AROMAT : Dosyć intensywny. Karmelowo-estrowe (jabłko, karmel).
SMAK : Słodowe. Niewielki analogicnzy do zapachu posmak karmelowo-estrowy. Goryczka średnia, zalegająca, męcząca.
WYGLĄD : Barwa ciemno miedziana, delikatnie zamglone. Piana wysoka, drobna. Ładnie oblepia szkło.
OGÓLNIE : Specyficzne, nudne piwo. Mimo niskiego poziomu alkoholu, sprawia wrażenie "ciężkiego", wybitnie degustacyjnego.

33cl-fles gekregen van Banzale (als Santa Paws). Merci!
