A Mes rate: bottle thanks to Cad Calloway.dj (620) - Greater London, ENGLAND - NOV 28, 2008
Pale gold with a thin but well behaved white head. It’s like a nice wheaty cask lager with some enjoyable notes of coconut and tropical fruit. Straight forward but interesting and tasty.
Bottle, 330ml. A pale straw colour with little head. A sweet citrus aroma with hints of wheat and hay. Taste has a fair bit of malt and sour grapefruit with a bitter finish. Some continental hop notes in there too. Not quite sure what this is - like a cross between a pilsner, a bitter and a golden ale. Bottle that I ordered in the prototype Mixed case from the brewery consumed 09-11-08. Its an interesting wheat beer, not what I would describe as true to style but then nothing less than you would expect from Brewdog. Pours light amber with haze, some wheat on nose but not much, bit sweeter than expected but there is a nice fruity bite, its fine enough. Newmerous bottles at home. Aroma is pale honey malts, some oatyness?, grassy slightly citric hop. Taste is similar, on the sweeterside as it starts and then bitters up more than your normal weisse. Not much wheat on the go, but a nice english wheat. yespr (44698) - Copenhagen O, DENMARK - NOV 17, 2008
From cask at Bon Accord. Pours clear and golden orange with a creamy white and dense head. Light fruity hops aroma with a mild wheat malt note. Flavour is sweet fruity with a light bitterness and slight acidic/citric to lemonish refreshing touch. Bitter and nice fruity finish. Very smooth and refreshing.
