COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Our Equity Punk gypsy brewery - Beatnik Brewing Collective - voted for this recipe as their 2017 annual brew. A blonde stout brewed to export strength, the stout character comes from extra ingredients instead of dark malts. Cacao, coffee and vanilla all play a role alongside oats and smoked malt to give depth and complexity.

Full bodied, with notes of roast coffee, chocolate and vanilla. Hints of smoke and pops of citrus and red berry round out the 7% ABV and support the cacao and coffee character.

September 2017 - Keg at Beavertown Extravaganza. As 'BrewDog Beatnik Blonde Export Stout'. Golden orange, translucent, still, foamy off-white head leaves dotted lacing. Aroma is straw, biscuity malts. Body is smooth with tingly carbonation. Taste is biscuity, sugary, crisp and clean into the finish. OK. (7-4-7-3-15=3.6)

Sweet, dark malts, grain and cereal malts. Clear gold, small, creamy, white head. Light bitter. More dark malts, grain and cereal, toasted malts, soft carbonation, medium bodied. Interesting Stout, clear as gold and yet dark in flavour. Keg at Beavertown Extravaganza 17, Canada Water.

Draft at Beavertown Extravaganza 2017 - London. Pours clear orange with a creamy, white head. Nice coffee elements, some pale bread, semi-ripe citrus. Medium bodied with fine to average carbonation. Good balance in the finish, some lingering coffee, creamy vanilla. Fun stuff.

Bottle. Pale golden and slightly chestnut brown with a nice foam subsiding. Scent is lovely notes of almonds and dry cereal malt. Taste is flavors of real porter yeast. Some caramel notes. Coffee notes. Dry, bean/fiber properties. Very great.

660ml bottle. Pours a crystal clear golden colour with a thick off-white head. Aroma: loads of vanilla, roasted malts, chocolate and coffee. Taste: as the aroma - lots of vanilla, chocolate, roasted malt, coffee and smoke in the finish, slightly sweet with low-moderate bitterness. Medium body, smooth mouthfeel, average carbonation. Quite impressed with this one, a really drinkable blonde stout.

Keg from BrewDog Leicester. Dark gold with the slightest reddish hue, thin head and considerable lacing. Caramel biscuit spread, vanilla extract, toffee in the aroma with a slight whiff of soft citrus. Taste is sweet and light, with background hops giving it a fruity lift. Short to medium finish is slightly more bitter. Very thin body. A delicious white stout.

Keg at BD Edinburgh. Clear amber. Nose is coffee, cacao, vanilla. Tastes more fruitier and floral, coffee and cacao are still there though.
