Can. Opaque chestnut, brown cream. Fairly fish-saucy roast, lavender, strong minerals, metallic roast. Medium light body. Chocolate roast, grandmas hop soap, licorice, salty dry, salted fatty chocolate finish. Older can, perhaps the fresh beer was more harmonic, this is just a mess. heavy (2922) - Split, CROATIA - FEB 19, 2018
Dec. '16. A 0.33 l can, thanks Marko for sharing! It poured a hazy dark brown body with a small head. Fine malty and hoppy aroma, lightly roasty with lots of caramel from one side and light pine, herbal and grassy from another. Complex. Flavor was lightly bitter, lemon peel, but also sweetish caramel and roasty brown sugary which gave it more cloying and fuller body despite being much lighter than nose would indicate. Finished in a long manner, with roasted notes being emphasized. Alcohol was dangerously hidden. Nice, tasty, balanced BIPA. davidf93 (206) - Stellenbosch, SOUTH AFRICA - NOV 18, 2017
Jack black colour, very nice barrel characteristics (not sure if its barrel aged). Nice velvety mouthfeel with lovely bitterness, complemented with tingling carbonation; very slight roastiness. dorain (754) - Berlin, GERMANY - OCT 26, 2017
Keine leicht trinkbares Bier. Nunja! Syfher (523) - Brussels, BELGIUM - AUG 14, 2017
Can of 33cl, in a Tumblker glass; from the fridge.
Why a so low overall (8/20) ? Because, yes it’s a good beer, stouty one, but clearly not a Black IPA. We are more in front of a stout beer, with her dark brown colour and milky coffee head.
Aroma and taste havre notes of sweetness and chocolate, but the hop is not that present.
Go for it, but not a full price.

Can at home. Expired a short time ago but still tastes as when fresh, hop aromas has not been lost. Pours black with a lot of initial head, dissipates very quickly though leaving almost no foam. Aroma is more on the malts’ side, a lot of roastiness coming through. Quite a bit coffee, some chocolate and licorice, pine and a herbal earthiness from the hops, not a lot of fruit. Light to medium body. Flavour: fruity at first, followed by bitterness and pine, finishes roasty and warming. Definitely some grapefruit, chocolate, some coffee. Nice balance of maltiness and hoppiness, also not too intensely piney. Finish is a very nice mix of dark malts and the herbal earthiness from the hops (I’m just guessing Mosaic here) and a lot of bitterness. Excellent! 15-07-17 // can. Obviously a black coloured beer with a solid white head. Nose of roasted malts and some fruity hops. Aroma starts with roasted malts, medium sweet, some coffee, followed by some grapefruit and pine flavours and finishing with a dry bitter finish. thewolf (12996) - Kolding, DENMARK - JUL 2, 2017

, Kolding. Pours deep opaque black with a medium, staying creamy beige head. Aroma has roasted malts, light licorice, citrus hops, a bit of chocolate, light grapefruit. Medium carbonation, fine dry and quite creamy mouthfeel. Flavour has sweet roasted malts, some licorice, citrus hops, soft but firm bitterness. Nice and dine hoppy bitter black ipa.
Piwo ciemnobrunatne. Piana ładna, trwała, lepi szkło. W aromacie owoce cytrusowe, tropikalne, w tle palność i słonecznik. W smaku fajna goryczka cytrusowa, w tle palność. Wytrawne. Wysycenie niskie. Świetne piwo. Niemal nie czuć, że to Black.... dunklermessias (416) - GERMANY - JUN 9, 2017
330 ml can. Pours with a deep, black color and a nice tan head. First impression of fat, roasted malts. Followed by fruity aromas with a nice grapefruit-peel and hoppy note. Taste is quiet good: lots of roated malts, citrus and a nice touch which reminds me of barrel-aging. Long lasting finish with coffee and dried fruits. Good balanced.
