2013 batch very disappointing compared with previous years. Should be all about the hops, instead this year theyve brewed a strong English ale, with little hop character to speak of.

Bottle at home from Brewdog online shop. Burnt nelson hop aroma. Some caramel nose as well. Dark golden loose thin white head. Crisp dry finish. Flavour is nelson sauvin dominant burnt cluthplate. Very palete.

Bottle from Asahiya. Winey, yeasty, cherries, and deep caramel nose. Dark straw, small head. Harsh, rude hops in initial / scratchy sort of rye notes in mid / some weird prune and medicinal flavors in final. Medium-heavy body. Not as bad as it sounds, really. Not entirely pleasant, but drinkable.

On keg at Brewdog Leeds, found this to be a very English style, malty IPA, with added cardboard and an unusual dry fruity hop profile . I was surprised to see that it was Nelson Sauvin hops. OK.

Bottle from brewdog.com. Orange golden color with medium off-white head. Earthy aroma with yeast, hints of grapefruits and oranges. Taste, barley, orange, orange zest, Nelson Sauvin hops, yeast, grapefruit zest, hints of pine. Harsh bitter finish. Weird but tasty.

Keg at Brewdog Brum. Hoppy, and yet extremely malty. Weird huh? Clean, council-pop style flavour, with water, and a hard to pin down combo of UK and foreign hop. Overall, liked quite a bit. But could have been of been oh so better.

33cl bottle - nice and fresh. Deep amber pour with thick and lasting white head. Aroma is citrus, overripe mango (a bit dank), some grape and melon, a touch of caramel, and a bit of woodiness. Taste gives some zingy mango and passionfruit, pithy grapefruit, orange, and a dollop of caramel malt. Pithy grapefruit bitterness lingers as does some juicy tropical fruit. Fairly sweet finish - caramel aplenty. Medium mouthfeel. Fairly drinkable. Tasty, but I prefer a paler malt bill to showcase NS as a hop.

Keg at Brewdog, Birmingham. Pours a clear dark amber with a small head. Aroma is quite acrid, with some hops underneath. Taste has bubblegum to start and an acrid, bitter finish. Some vegetable notes. Was much better in the bottle, hopefully get one to re-rate.
