Bottle enjoyed on Christmas day. Deep black with a sparkly dark brown head which disappears moments after it appears. Aroma of cacao nibs, dark chocolate, some cherry and plum notes and hints of vanilla. Intensely chocolatey. Taste of intense roasted malts, coffee, dark bitter chocolate, burnt toffee and hints of dark fruit and vanilla. Thick body, low carbonation, slightly syrupy and fairly sweet. Very warming, a light alcohol burn. A sipping drink. androman (2322) - Maarssen, NETHERLANDS - JAN 1, 2016
33cl shared bottle at home from Only Good Beer, Budapest. Body is nearly black, head is very small, brownish, fizzy, fully diminishing, no lacing. Nose is liqueurish roasty, flavor is dark chocolate, coffee, herbs, liqueur, dried fruits, toast, licorice. Medium to heavy sweet, medium bitter, light fruity sour. Finish is long lasting roasty medium to heavy bittersweet, further developing hoppy bitterness, medium to heavy alcohol warmth. Full body, oily texture, nearly flat carbonation. Quite heavy dessert beer, tasty but rum is not really noticeable, great though . JorisPPattyn (10002) - Ursel, BELGIUM - DEC 30, 2015
Head gone in seconds, muddy black-brown beer. Ink, black mushrooms, Armenian brandy, phenols, rumraisins. Rum, brandy, ethanol and fusels, punch-in-the-face. Roasted features, lotsof sweetness. Rich MF, alcoholthinning and -heat; low carbonation. Pretty refined for a rum-enhanced beer. Werckmeister (3184) - Vienna, AUSTRIA - OCT 5, 2015
0,33l bottle at home shared with gf, from trade with Sebilinz, many thanks. BB 10/2022. black color, small coffee-colored head. smells of rum, liqueur, alcohol, wood, raisins, light marzipan, light coconut notes, light charcoal, some licorice. full body, soft carbonation, oily / light astringent mouthfeel. rather strong alcohol punch, dried fruits, rum, liqueur, light licorice, caramel, wood, plums, light charcoal. finishes with alcohol, licorice and rum. lovely smell, taste is quite alcoholic. overall good stuff but the booze makes this quite heavy. Overall too boozy for my liking. If I had another bottle, I would make sure to leave this in the cellar for another couple years. Camons (12450) - Hasselager, DENMARK - SEP 6, 2015

Tasted 23/08/15. Black hole dark with minimal head. Milk chocolate aroma. Big rich taste of roasted 90% cocoa chocolate with the rum & raisin adding a rounding sweetness with a long complex finish. An exceptional Imperial Stout.

UPDATED: APR 22, 2015 24.12.2014. Very intense aroma with syrupy sweet roasted malts, chocolate, alcohol. Intense, full bodied, chocolate, roast, rum etc but too much alcohol. Disappointment for a paradox, too boozy. domienS (250) - Oostakker, BELGIUM - FEB 18, 2015
Pours a black beer with as good as no head.
Smells Vanilla, oaky, coffee, chocolate, roasted malts. Small medicinal hint sadly.
Tastes amlt bitter.
Full thick beer wich leaves a malt bitter palate where you pick up a lot of the rum barrel.
Great degustation beer!
