On tap at the Brewdog Camden. Opaque black beer, pale tan head. Light palate but otherwise pretty neutral. Mild carbonation. Smooth dark malt, light and creamy. Surprisingly Brewdog have been restrained with the spice, it’s barely a pinch! Slightly fruity undertone. Finishes smooth and fresh. A pretty easy going spiced Christmas beer and surprisingly subtle from Brewdog!
Frenger (367) - Derby, Alabama, ENGLAND - DEC 26, 2011
Bottle from brewdog.com. pours dark dark reddish brown with a medium tanned head. Not much aroma and not much taste. Slightly warm aftertaste but to thin to carry it well. rlgk (18852) - Göteborg, SWEDEN - DEC 25, 2011

Bottled. Near black, rich head. Fruity nose with some cocoa. Sweetish with medium body and clean mouthfeel. Cocoa powder dominates. Shallow, very fruity, some plastic and tobacco. Mid bitter finish. Dull.

Bottle. This beer manages to be a well balanced porter, even with chili added. Although I’m not sure if all things added really makes it a better beer. Still good though. brownyonder (266) - Edinburgh, SCOTLAND - DEC 24, 2011
Pours black with a thin beige head. Coffee, chocolate, fruit and hops on the nose. Flavour is coffee, chocolate, and nuts.

Brew Dog Bar, Camden. Black as night with a middling tan head. Roasted malts, dark choc and spices in the aroma. A similar tale followed in the flavour with the addition of some restrained hop bitterness. Body a little on the thin side, but certainly one of the better xmas beers to pass my lips. Enjoyed it.
Keg in Dean Swift. Colour is very dark brown/black. Nose is malty, dark chocolate, strong lactic and beery ales notes. Taste is roasted grain coffee, chocolate and very lactic. Leighton (22054) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - DEC 18, 2011
Bottle at home in London. Thanks, Paul. Pours a rich, red-brown with a foamy, beige head. Rich, dark chocolate in the nose, mild roast, some smokey meat. Medium sweet, some dark and chalky chocolate, faint spice, rich cocoa. Medium in body with fine carbonation. Faintly dry finish, moderate roasted malts, slight tang, cocoa, light bitterness. Very nice beer.
