COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
keg/ bottle 2012 Prototypes release.
A 10% decadent and indulgent Imperial Russian Stout. Brewed with a copious amount of dark malts, infused with coffee beans during the boil and after fermentation and aged on cacao nibs, vanilla pods and toasted oak chips. This opulent whirl of chocolate, coffee, dark malts and hops even rivals the most colourful of imperial Faberge eggs. Originally created to celebrate the Russian Royal Family, this is a fitting tribute with which to toast your own empire.

33 cl bottle (part of a mix pack). Pours pitch black with nice, creamy dark brown head! Aroma and flavor is full of coffee, chocolate, sultanas and roasted malts. Well-balanced. Lasting stuff! ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle from Dranken Verheyen in Poppel Belgium. The beer is Black colored and has a large and stable coffee colored head with nice carbonation. The aroma is roasted malts, dark coffee and cacao, spices, vanilla and fresh hops. The taste is pleasantly sweet with notes of roasted malts and vanilla. Changes into pretty heavy bitterness with cacao and espresso and some fresh hops. The finish is dry and very bitter and is long noticable.

It's a quick journey from palate to psycho behaviour - a trip I've thoroughly enjoyed on numerous occasions - the majority of which I don't remember too clearly. It's just so damned moorish!! ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

A beautifully black beer. Aroma of cocoa, dark berries, oak and a hint of smoke. Taste of sweet but slightly bitter cocoa and dark chocolate as well as weak after taste of ash and coffee. Everything that it promises. What a spectacular beer.

From memory, on tap, Brewdog Manchester 2015. Pours pitch with dark beige head. Body is super thick. Strong cocoa and roast barley taste with ashy undertones. Smooth, dry but not astringent. Strong dominating cocoa flavours can make this beer feel abit 1 dimensional at times, but its well done at what it does. This was my first RIS on draft so made quite an impression on me

Bottle from Brewdog online. Evil looking thick black pour, off white foam. Lots of deep dark roasty goodness, bitter, dry, not overly boozy. All the random extras accentuate rather than dominate, which I like. Good stuff.

Liquid is black as night, with small, brown head. Aroma of peat and chocolate, quite weak. Heavy body, little bit carbonation. Taste is bitter, chocolate, stout.
