Brewdog Shoreditch. Slightly oily looking black - brown beer. Rich brown head of a good size. Smooth palate, super smooth with very fine carbonation. Light and airy. All right then - this is a good one! Smooth dark chocolate, creamy, followed by a touch of sweet milk chocolate. Subtle dark fruits on the back of the tongue and then the coffee comes forward. The coffee is rich but mellow and seamlessly integrated. Finishes light and airy with more chocolate cream and a trace of orange hop. A belter! So good I had another!
tap at brewdog ... deep black ... small tan head ... dark bitter chocolate nose ... big coffee front ... long chocolate linger ... quite bitter dark chocolate ...

Keg at BrewDog Camden, London. Pours black with a staunch, brown cream head. Lots of espresso and dark chocolate in the nose, hints of dark fruits, raisins. Big sweet flavor but not at all cloying. Deep and rich, lots of chocolate cake, espresso, gooey fudge. Yeah, wow, this is delicious. Full bodied with fine to average carbonation. Lightly warming finish with more chocolate cake, brownies, dark bread, earth, roasted malts, further espresso. Incredible balance. There’s just enough charred wood and earthy bitterness in here to offset the strong chocolate character. Superb. Scopey (14708) - Croydon, Greater London, ENGLAND - NOV 26, 2012
Keg at BrewDog Camden. It pours pitch black with a small dark tan head. The nose is rich chocolate, toast, coffee, treacle, gateaux, caramel, soy sauce and sesame seed. The taste is rich roasted malt, chocolate cake, toast, coffee, varnish, burnt caramel, soy sauce, charcoal, ash and alcohol warmth with a long roasty finish. Full body, moderate carbonation and oily mouth-feel. Good integration of flavours. A tasty brew. Stuu666 (13394) - Edinburgh, SCOTLAND - AUG 2, 2014

Smell is pure creamy coffe, very creamy, sweet espresso, tad chocolate, milk chocolate, incredible. Taste is same sweet super creamy espresso blended with very creamy coffee, heavy milk chocolate, light sweet dark fruits and toffee, mainly just oodles of sweet coffee and absolutely nothing else, incredible. Soft creamy coffee mouthfeel. Svesse (8597) - Hässelby, SWEDEN - JAN 5, 2013
(Draught at BrewDog Camden, London, 21 Nov 2012) Black colour with creamy, pale brown head. Malty, roasted nose with coffee, chocolate and cacao. Malty, roasted taste with notes of dark chocolate, black coffee and cacao. Almost full body, with a certain sweetness and a generous cacao/coffee bitterness. Excellent beer!
