Bottle at chriso’s Pre-GBBF Shindig ’11. It pours golden yellow, with almost no head and average carbonation. The nose is sweet malt, white bread and grass. The taste is lime, metal, grass, sweet malt, light spice, some honey sweetness and a light bitter finish. So-so. planky84 (3214) - Lee, Greater London, ENGLAND - AUG 2, 2011

Bottle at ChrisO’s Pre-GBBF Shindig 2011. Clearish gold pour with a fine, white head. Toasty, aged malts in the aroma. Medium sweet flavor, some light honey, faint bitterness. Medium bodied with average carbonation. Slightly sticky finish, nice roasted sugars. Past its prime but not bad. suprchunk (2994) - Crestview, Florida, USA - FEB 26, 2011
Pours a dark golden amber. Not as bright as any other lager out there. Little to no head, with carbonation bubbling up the entire drink.
A slight hint of the presence of hops in the nose. Hint of malt and sweetness.
A little malty, with a sweet dryness in the finish (not much though). A little too sweet. And almost bland.
Decent mouthfeel, it isn’t overly thin. There is a bit of a dry feeling left I’m guessing from the hops used.
Decent enough to drink during a cookout or a big gathering. I could probably share this with my friends who are used to the big 2. BeerCast_Rich (1906) - Edinburgh, SCOTLAND - JAN 14, 2011
[330ml bottle, Peckham’s Stockbridge, Edinburgh] Used to be known as Hop Rocker, but was re-branded and re-named before being discontinued in favour of 77 Lager (sampled in April 2009). Cult Lager pours a lovely dark golden colour and has a strong alcohol tang to the nose. The taste is pure pilsner, lagerish but with that bitter aftertaste and a hint of the citrus as well. Comparing this to certain mass-marketed German pilsners, it is far ahead of the game tdtm82 (1701) - Essex, ENGLAND - AUG 14, 2010
Bottle, Utobeer, 33cl, drunk at home. Very golden-brown at the top, very low carbanation, soft, aroma is grassy, hay, leafy, texture is sweet caramel, juicy, some grapes, earthy and some faint soy source and maybe DMS. Not as good as Punk I’m afraid. I can see why it is a retired beer so head down to Utobeer quickly to catch up on this. johndoughty (5398) - cheslyn hay, West Midlands, ENGLAND - JUL 31, 2010
Bottle.Golden with a creamy head. Slightly bitter with some maltiness.Medium mouth feel.An above average lager but not in the same class as some of their more exotic products. Worth trying though.
