Bottle, Occasional;
A lager that actually tastes of something? You have to be kidding, right? Our lager is made with 100% malt and whole leaf hops. Maybe we are crazy, so what? Taste our lager and we are pretty sure that you will agree that the fine line between insanity and genius has, just become a little more blurred.

larsga (7608) - Oslo, NORWAY - JUL 20, 2009
Medium offwhite head. Amber body. Fruity floral resiny aroma with grassy straw notes. Very harmonic and clean. Dry-sweet resiny floral grassy taste with strawy fruity honey notes. Mid-bodied. Mild mouthfeel. Dry strawy grassy aftertaste. Very nice. Mild and easy to drink. Girlfriend-approved, too. (0.2l taster at Øl & Mat ’09, Oslo.)

33 cl bottle at Øl&Mat09 in Oslo. Batch # 247. Amber color, ok off-white head. Aroma is almost vanilla sweet and has fine hops. Flavor is Sweet malty, hops, some fruit and moderate bitterness. A very fine lager.

Kestral (506) - Årnes, NORWAY - JUN 25, 2009
Pours copper with a small white ring of foam. Aroma has notes of citrus and grass, with a sweet butterscotch malt base and some fruits. Flavour stars off with the citrusy and grassy hops, and ends on the sweet side with the malt and fruit. Semidry finish. Tastes a bit like their Trashy Blonde with more hops, but not as good. A bit on the thin side, lively carbonated.

bluevegie (3073) - Perth, AUSTRALIA - JUN 14, 2009
Straw/golden coloured body with a very short head. Light floury aroma that carries through to the taste and backed by grassy hop note plus a little buttery. A slightly above average lager though only just.

Fin (10743) - Merton, Oxfordshire, England, Oxfordshire, ENGLAND - MAY 6, 2009
Bottle from Real Ale Ltd, cheers Duff, consumed 04-05-09 Pours light gold with a white head, excellent clarity and very fine looking beer. Some citrus intertwined with vanilla on the nose and a bit of cereal, also the lager malts show very well and there is a decent hoppy note throughout. Taste is crisp, really quite dry, nice bitterness. There is some grain but there is also a decent citrus burst and the maltiness is very decent, good hoppiness linger throughout, its a very nice lager. A7 A5 F8 P4 Ov15 3.9

Whats the deal? I suspect this beer is being punished for brewdogs ’extreme’ reputation? Sure, it is exceptionally tame compared to the rest of the range, but still its a good beer. Pours clear golden with a nice off white head. Nose is quite perfumed. Some mild stone fruit, with biscuit malt and grassy hops. Palate shows some sweet pils malt early before earthy, hops drive a long grassy finish with some sweetness lingering faintly. Very sessionable but probably overpriced.

Slightly hazy yellow with a small white head. Grainy malt aroma with a fruity note. Dry and grainy flavour with a good and lasting bitterness.

MBison (548) - Southern Highlands, AUSTRALIA - APR 8, 2009
Bottle (330ml). Served lightly chilled. Poured gold with a slight haze and a small, frothy, white head which was mostly diminishing. Aroma was of sweet wholegrain bread with light grassy hop notes, honey, apricots and passionfruit. Flavor was of sweet biscuity malts with a mild floral hop bitterness, nectarines, grapefruit and a dry grassy finish. Light to medium bodied with lively carbonation, a dry hoppy mouthfeel and a good length finish. Quite drinkable

(Bottle, batch 004, at Vihreä Haltiatar, Jyväskylä, on 2009-04-02) Golden and clear. Medium sized white head. Sweetness, lightly butter and grass in aroma. Dry and medium bodied palate with quite a lot of carbonation. Sweetness, grass, bitterness, butter and fruitiness in taste. Bitter aftertaste.

Alphadelic (2249) - Portland, Oregon, USA - APR 1, 2009
Pale straw coloured wth little head. Honeyed hop aromas along with light cereals. Bitter cereals with a light green-hop and honey edge. Smooth and easy to drink. Very tasty, especially for a lager.
