Also known as ’Dead Pony Club’.

Bottle and keg: Filtered

Ingredients: Spring Blend, Cara and Crystal Malts; Simcoe, Citra and HBC hops.

This Californian Pale Ale packs a huge hoppy punch. A 21st century low amplitude, high voltage hop hit. Some people say slow is good. We believe fast is better. Being shot from a Hoppy Howitzer beats the hell out of trotting round a submissive paddock. That’s why the internal combustion engine got mounted onto two wheels. Screw down the throttle and listen for that dull banshee howl floating back from those malted mufflers. Drink fast, live fast, sleep late and rip it up down empty streets. This pale ale is chopped, tuned and ready to roll. Fuel up and hold tight, this little thoroughbred kicks like a mule. Perfect for drinking by the bottle, case or even keg.

Keg. Strong, like a kick in the face, citrus aroma with some notes of grass and caramel (?). Very light and fresh in taste. Solid bitter finish. Copper appearance with white head and very nice lacing. Great session beer, could spend whole night with it.

Bornyensis (321) - BELGIUM - OCT 5, 2015
Redelijk bitter bier. Een kleine citrus nasmaak. Een typische Pale Ale naar behoren.

MelvinKalksma (1536) - NETHERLANDS - OCT 5, 2015
Aroma: Citra hops, malt, caramel, grass, citrus, grapefruit, fresh. Appearance: Amber coloured beer with a decent, though diminishing white head. Taste/Palate: Mostly bitter, slightly sweet. Mostly really waterish, but what do you expect with a 3.8%.

hrabren (1186) - Zagreb, CROATIA - OCT 4, 2015
0.33 l bottle from Pivoteka Zagreb. Shared with Vi?nja and Goran. Had Dead Pony Club before, but not sure if I have the rate somewhere. Hazy dark golden, small to medium off white head. Biscuit, leaves, earthy hops. Balanced, fruity, some honey, medium hopped, medium carbonation. Medium body, quite ok for a low percentage. Light bitter finish.

CaptainTilven (191) - Nancy, FRANCE - OCT 3, 2015
Deep golden body, headed by golden beige thicky and aery foam. Aroma of agrums, pear, pine. taste is the same. Body is thin. Pretty well done owing to its low ABV - appreciable !

Bottle from the Gloucster Road Waitrose. Pours light copper with a slight white head. Aroma hints at dank, has citrus and some strange fruits from under the Southern Cross - or at least some hops from there. It’s approaching dank, has some nice roasty malt for backbone, and it has citrus and a lot of those new floral/fruit notes from NZ based hops. Lots of flavor here; finishing less than harshly bitter - for a Yank. Sort of West Coast US, but not NW US.

Very smooth beer with nice aroma. Nice combination with citra, mosaic and other hops. This is the beer which I can drink it all the day :)

Calisky (2941) - ALSACE, FRANCE - SEP 26, 2015
Couleur clair ambrée, mousse qui disparait. Nez houblonné fruité exotique, litchis. Gout fruité exotique, raisin avec amertume de pin assez rapide en bouche. Corps leger. Fin légèrement amère, agrumes. Pas mal pour 3.8c°

floydian1 (1464) - FNQ, Australia, - SEP 26, 2015
330ml bottle @ Pig & Whistle, Eagle St, Brisbane. This is a superior session IPA with good citrus fruity and pine resin hops on the nose and palate on top of the caramel malt backbone. Great flavours for the ABV. Easy drinking with a light-medium body.

thmsboyd (198) - Ayr, SCOTLAND - SEP 24, 2015
Bottle BBE: 21/07/16. Cellar temp. Pours a clear, bright amber body with small, thin, off-white head. High intensity nose, extremely hop forward, oozing with grapefruit and soor plooms (plum), with a little resin and cat litter tray. A medium resiny bitterness makes way for a light fruity sweetness, all underpinned by a hint of sour. Light on body with a coarse texture, medium-high carbonation and a delicious, citrus finish. The definition of a session ale, I could drink this for eternity.
