COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Also known as ’Dead Pony Club’.

Bottle and keg: Filtered

Ingredients: Spring Blend, Cara and Crystal Malts; Simcoe, Citra and HBC hops.

This Californian Pale Ale packs a huge hoppy punch. A 21st century low amplitude, high voltage hop hit. Some people say slow is good. We believe fast is better. Being shot from a Hoppy Howitzer beats the hell out of trotting round a submissive paddock. That’s why the internal combustion engine got mounted onto two wheels. Screw down the throttle and listen for that dull banshee howl floating back from those malted mufflers. Drink fast, live fast, sleep late and rip it up down empty streets. This pale ale is chopped, tuned and ready to roll. Fuel up and hold tight, this little thoroughbred kicks like a mule. Perfect for drinking by the bottle, case or even keg.

The hops seem a little resiny at first, but turn in to tropical fruit flavor soon enough. It seems a little too bitter for a session IPA, which I expect to be more refreshing than bitter.

660 ml bottle. Pours a slightly hazy golden with a small off-white head. Hoppy aroma. Nice bitterness with a short aftertaste. Taste of American hops. Overall a very nice session.

330ml can. I picked up a 12 pack can slab of this beer on Sunday and carried it on my shoulder through Brentford in unseasonably warm weather to a neighbour’s tedious BBQ . I probably resembled a boost-bro deplorable or former frat boy in a constant state of social arrested development . I brought this low boost beer along to the swaray because A) I wanted to stay relatively coherent this time, my girlfriend reminded me of the last social occastion and people I’m indiffeent towards ie- neighbours .B) 9% Six Point Resin and me standing on the chair singing "Louie Louie" like the bros in Animal House . The other beer @ this BBQ was Stella or Bud . I like the hop impact and citrus kick in Dead Pony, I dunno, the hoppy Brewdog signature gives the illusion of being more boozy that 3% I guess I associate booze+flavour. This is a very good Session IPA , but not quiet great enough to make my neighbours more bearable than two hours of my time .

Quite insipid session drink from Brewdog that leaves next to no punch at all. Flavour is initially great but quickly dissipates into thin lagery mush. Disappointing, and only sessionable in terms of strength.

Bottle. Amber/orange. Small head. Beautiful aroma of apricots and citrus fruits. Taste is rather subdued. Apricots, grapefruit, some mango and honey. Strong carbonation. Mouthfeel is a little bit thin and watery. But oh yeah, this is certainly sessionable. Nice.

Bottle. Pours deep amber with an off white fluffy head. Nose of pine, citrus and passion fruit, toasted brown bread and light caramel. Watery mouth feel but the flavour is good for a 3.8abv beer. Nice and hoppy, light citrusy bit spicy and some peach in the flavour. Refreshing and great if your wanting a few but up early in the morning !
