Also known as Dead Pony Club.

Bottle and keg: Filtered

Ingredients: Spring Blend, Cara and Crystal Malts; Simcoe, Citra and HBC hops.

This Californian Pale Ale packs a huge hoppy punch. A 21st century low amplitude, high voltage hop hit. Some people say slow is good. We believe fast is better. Being shot from a Hoppy Howitzer beats the hell out of trotting round a submissive paddock. Thats why the internal combustion engine got mounted onto two wheels. Screw down the throttle and listen for that dull banshee howl floating back from those malted mufflers. Drink fast, live fast, sleep late and rip it up down empty streets. This pale ale is chopped, tuned and ready to roll. Fuel up and hold tight, this little thoroughbred kicks like a mule. Perfect for drinking by the bottle, case or even keg.

25cl bottle from kvickly spinderiet, shared with Gitte. Clear dark yellow, huge offwhite slightly flufft head. strong hoppy aroma, citrussy, flowery, not sweet, lots of flowery and citrussy hops. Flavor is bitter hoppy, quite bitter, some malts, but not lots of them. Taste is a bit flattish or one dimensional probably due to the low abv, but the beer is pretty refreshing and tasty. would do great as a session beer.

Bottle from Dranken Verheyen in Poppel, Belgium. The beer is orange to amber colored and has a large and stable white head, with nice carbonation. Citrus aromas of tangy lime and lemongrass and later a light caramel flavor with a flourish, resinous hop aroma. The taste is light bodied and light sweet with tones of toffee, and is followed by a nice a light spicy bitterness with tones of pines and grapefruit. The finish is pleasantly dry and bitter and very refreshing. Good stuff.

I really like Dead Pony Club and I should probably drink it far more than I do but its always the same price as Punk IPA. I wish it was just a little bit cheaper. If youre looking for a great session beer this is it. aromatic, full of flavor and very refreshing.

Aroma: Sniffing the bottle immediately upon cracking open gives a tropical hop burst, after that the resinous citra and mosaic fruity smells come through. One thing missing is a malt smell. Even if it could be a faint one Appearance: Beautiful orange/amber colour. Slightly hazy no dount due to the amount of hops added post fermentation. The head is off white and doesnt stick around long ( likely due to hop oils and thin body ) Flavour: unfortunately this beer falls flat on its face like a lad stumbling out of a pub after his first stella. Sadly brewdog have created a beer that tastes like hop water, theres no maltiness or sweetness to this beer. Its a bit like drinking sparkling water in that you desperately want some other flavour there but theres nothing. The hops on the other hand are stunning. Palate: just like drinking sparkling water sadly. This beer is so nice...to your nose, personal opinion is that some oats or rye would be perfect to thicken it up and keep the 3.8% abv. Either that or a higher mash temperature. If that was the case this would be one of my favourite session ipas

330ml Can: Pours a hazy light amber with large frothy head that lingers. Aroma of resinous hops with some bread crust and caramel notes. Big pine flavours from the hops, but well balanced by the malt. Bitterness is good with medium to high carbnation. Medium bodied. Overall a well crafted ale.

Live version at Brewdog Clerkenwell, starts out looking more like creamflow but then settles to a lovely clear amber with a fine head. The softness of texture from the lower carbonation is very pleasant, and turns a hop-forward IPA into a fruity, crisp and tasty light bitter. Citrusy nose, tropical fruit and light toffee malt on the palate. Lovely.

Lots of mash malt here. Orange amber pour with decent head. Tangy finish. Not great. Bottle at Smokehouse in Chisinau.

UPDATED: DEC 2, 2016 Pours golden orange. Magnificent aroma of bright fruits, gooseberry, elderflower. Taste is all first aroma - light but tropical fruity, citrus. slightly herbal. Very light, clean aromatic taste, but lacking hop lingering flavour, can come across abit watery as a result .

Bottle from Tesco. Aroma: lovely levels of citrus, tropical fruits, elderberry, minimal pine. Appearance: clear, pale, white head with ok retention. Taste: light to medium bitter, light sweet. High hop taste that takes on the same notes an intensity as in aroma. Some light bread and caramel taste present as well. light body, slick feel, lively carbonation, short to medium long low bitter finish that isnt harsh. Very drinkable and pleasant.
