Obsidian black with a mocha head. Aroma of cocoa, dark fruit, rich caramel, coffee, licorice. Taste sweet, full, warm, chocolaty, roasty, with a warming feeling down throat. Palate full of roast, coffee, and licorice. Absolutely magnificent.

0,33l from bottle at Mels Diner as Brewdog Dog B. Bottled 17-03-2013. black colour, small tan head. smells earthy, licorice, light wood, bitter herbs. full body, soft carbonation, slick mouthfeel. tastes of licorice, sherry, spices, earthy notes, light roast, some marzipan, bitter almonds, bitter herbs, nettle, some alcohol. finishes with some roast and alcoholic notes and notes of sherry and licorice. overall decent, but probably fresh a lot better, bit too much sherry.

(BrewDog Dog A ) Bottle 3330 ml at home, served into a taster, ABV 15.1% vintage 2012. Many thanks to Cuso for sending me this! Pitch black colour on the body, one finger of thick, dark brown head on top, with good retention. Aroma of roasted malts, dark bitter chocolate, coffee, alcohol, dark fruits, plums. Taste is sweet, with alcohol, vanilla, coffee, chocolate, plums, spirits, liquorice. Thick bod with soft carbonation and very sticky on the palate. Great beer.

330ml Bottle (Dog A) - Jet black with a tan head. Liquorice and plain chocolate dominate the aroma. Roasted malt, fudge, coffee and liquorice can all be detected along with a hint of vanilla and some spicy notes.

Tasted both Dog A and Dog B. Black, minimal head. Really nice aroma! Chili, roasted malt, coffee, cacao, a hint of vanilla. I was afraid the chili would be too strong since Ive had some bad experiences with that, but with this one it just added depth. A well balanced, sweet, thick taste with a hint of chili just in the back of the mouth. Finish is slightly bitter, long and warming. One of my all time favorites!

ark matter into your glass, with a deep tan head. On the nose theres a subtle but powerful blend of dark chocolate, espresso, chilli spice and molasses, boosted with hints of molasses, cocoa powder and brandy. On the palate, theres a chewy treacle toffee backbone, supporting the spicy hop flavour and naga chilli heat. The malt bill adds further spice from the rye, and a smooth refined mouthfeel from the wheat and oats.

Bottle from Brewdog Brussels. Pours dark brown with a modest tan head and a chocolate and vanilla aroma. There is a full-bodied complex flavor that includes chocolate, coffee, dark molasses, vanilla and chili pepper. It all goes together really well producing a very nice sipping beer.
