Intense aroma of sweet & salty licorice, chili, coffee & wood. Black with very low long lasting brown head. The taste is light sweet & intense dry. Medium body, oily texture, flat carbonation & a very long dry finish. explosivedog (1506) - Auckland, NEW ZEALAND - OCT 4, 2017
UPDATED: OCT 4, 2017 330ml bottle, Dog C. Pours pitch black without head. Chilli, plum, cherry, chocolate, coffee, toast, pepper, chilli heat, sweet syrupy stuff. Thick smooth body. Really nicely balanced. Sweet, bitter with that hot peppery chilli grounding things. Trolleo (1718) - Pula / Zagreb, CROATIA - OCT 2, 2017
Hot warming alcohol feel, ton of chocolate chocolate liquor, lots of cocoa, licorice, vanilla and burbon. Pitch oily black with no head. Taste has that warming alcohol effect, but not burning. Burbon barrel, chocolate, bitter cocoa. Extremely creamy, full bodied and flat. Long cocoa chocolate cake finish. Close to perfection. //bottle as BrewDog Dog C ArtificialCyst (1301) - Szczecin, POLAND - SEP 30, 2017
Soy sauce, cherries, honey, chocolate, lightly bitter, pralines, nicely full, hot peppers. achimczi (13) - Vanl?se, DENMARK - SEP 30, 2017
UPDATED: SEP 30, 2017 I drank Dog C, 3 years old. It could have been a good beer, but unfortunately there is mostly soy sauce in aroma and taste. I'm disappointed 😥

UPDATED: SEP 16, 2017 vintage 2012: Pitch black colour with a tan head. Aroma of malt, liquorice, brown sugar, molasses, coffee and chocolate. Taste of chocolate, roasted malt, molasses and some coffee bitterness. Balanced but with a little sting of alcohol. colui72 (1085) - HONG KONG - SEP 13, 2017
Pitch black, oily, thick, no carbonation nor head. Aroma of roasted malts, chocolate and coffee. Tastes well balanced between sweet and bitter. Strong on roasted malts, chocolate, vanilla, coffee, caramel, booze doesn't feel as 15%. Nothing shocking of weird, this is a classic Imperial stout, thick, oily, tasty, strong. Great beer! alchemyst (20) - SOUTH AFRICA - JUN 30, 2017
Aroma is deep and complex. Coffee, stone fruit, molasses and alcohol warmth in my nose. Appearance is jet black with faint whisps of tan head around the edges. Taste delivers on the promise of the nose. Espresso with molasses. Prunes and some bitter roast malt, perhaps also some hop bitterness. Noticeable alcohol warmth. Remarkably high carbonation given the low head, succeeds in breaking the alcohol very well. Overall lighter than one would expect given the other stats.
Very drinkable if you’re careful. Perfect sipping beer for in front of a fire on a cold night.
