COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Say hello to Ghost Deer. A defiant and irreverent, devil may care, supersonic bitch of a beer. Ghost Deer is a 28% fermented beer, the strongest ever fermented beer which is only ever served from a single handcrafted and authentic deer’s head.

The beer itself is a robust 28% blonde ale. After fermentation it is aged for 6 months in some amazing whisky, bourbon, rum and sherry barrels. There is only one Ghost Deer head and this beer will only ever be available on draft, served in a stemmed glass, direct from the mouth of the deer himself.

Bottle @ NK Saluhall. Clear amber colour with no head to speak of. Aroma of malt, alcohol, port, sherry. Flavour is somewhat malty, strong in sherry and port flavours. More like a sherry and/or port than a beer. I liked it, but then I do love port so might be that.

Not entirely sure where I bought this, probably on the BD webshop. Very boozy smell, smells like slivovitza. Similar taste, sweet. Very boozy. Hard to rate, I would not be able to drink more then a few cl.

Tiny bottle thanks to Stuu666 for my 9k. Pours hazy amber with no head. Big bag of booze on the nose, sherry, rum, raisins, caramel. Faint aniseed. Taste is hot, more like a spirit than a beer. More dried fruit and sherry. Glad to have tried.

Theydon_Bois (20905) - Hazlemere, the lower Xhitlerns, Buckinghamshire, ENGLAND - SEP 1, 2015
Bottle split at Reubs flat on night 1 of RBESG ’15, thanks to Kenny for this juan, 20/08/15.
Amber with moderate off white spotting that is eager to dissipate.
Nose carries rich sherry tones, toffee, dark malt, wood, caramel, booze tunes but well tempered.
Taste comprises woody tunes, boozey, a touch harsh, rich fruit cake, menthol notes, not a patch on the nose.
Full body, slightly cloying but not OTT, warming alcohol in the close.
Not a bad effort for the ABV to be fair, tidy nose but became a little harsh thereafter.

3.5
brnandersen (4184) - Copenhagen, DENMARK - AUG 23, 2015
Sample from 6 cl. bottle, courtesy of Colin, thanks! Amber colour with no head. Sweet aroma with lots of booze, barrel - bourbon, sherry. Rich caramel malts and dark, dried fruits. Taste is sweet. Thick texture with a flat carbonation. Lasting sweet and boozy finish with barrel and dark fruits. Pleasant beer despite the alcohol content. Still to extreme for me to be really good.

3.6
Desverger (13174) - Copenhagen, DENMARK - AUG 20, 2015
Bottle thanks to Colin - Amber pour with almost no head. Aroma and taste is sweet malty and dark fruity with sherry and whisky infused wooden notes, sweet on the palate, boozy sweet finish. Interesting brew.
