Hazy amber with tiny short lasting head. Sweet hoppy aroma with fruity notes. Sweet flavor with strong hoppy notes, caramel and peach. Powerfull bitter finish.

bager (2120) - Copenhagen N, DENMARK - FEB 13, 2008
Bottle. Almost clear and golden in colour with a small off-white head. Quite hoppy and grassy with notes of flowers, pine and citrus. Not very well balanced - lacks sweetness.

sayravai (4710) - Helsinki, FINLAND - FEB 11, 2008
(Bottled) Clear golden with a small, bubbly but partly lasting head. Mild, citrus-exotic-fruity, pilsnery-hoppy aroma. Sweetish-honey-malty base with lots of grapefruit-citrusy hops thrown in. The hoppiness is pretty mild, though, and feels almost like filtered Belgian tripel with added Czech-style pilsner hops. The alcohol is present, but pretty well hidden. Medium-bodied, low-carbonated palate. Quite a disappointment, and not even a double IPA, IMO...

Marsiblursi (3076) - Göteborg, SWEDEN - FEB 8, 2008
(Bottle) Pours golden with an off white head. The aroma is hoppy with tones of grapefruit, orange, grass and some flowers and fruity with tones of peach, melon and apricot. The maltiness is sweet, bready, cookie-ish, mild caramel, honey and hints of hay. Hints of sulphur and vanilla as well. The flavour is heavily grapefruity and resiny hoppy with a sweet malt backdrop. Some tropical fruitiness. Medium sweet. The finish is heavily resiny hoppy with lingering hay like malt. The mouthfeel is sharp, yet soft. A bit too much alcohol both in the aroma and flavour. Medium bodied.

Plovmand (8310) - Helsinge, DENMARK - FEB 8, 2008
Bottle. Golden clear colour with white head. Flowers and hops in the nose and lots of grass and hops in the flavour. A bit too heavy at the finish.

madsberg (11770) - Søborg, DENMARK - FEB 2, 2008
Bottled. Golden coloured. Unclear. Fluffy off white head. Sweetness, fruits, pine, flowers and spice in the aroma. Flavour is very herbal and piney. Has loads of spice, a tad of alcohol and some notable sweetness. Quite balanced. Medium to full bodied. Is medium to heavy bitter in the end, but a touch of sweetness balance this. Very nice.

ante (3373) - Stockholm, SWEDEN - FEB 1, 2008
Pours out in a clear golden colour with a rich white foam. Sharp, almost acidic aroma of green apples and grapefruit. Hmmm. . Almost shockingly hoppy flavour of grapefruit, wet grass and pine without almost no residual sugars at all. Medium to full bodied. Long bitter finish of wet grass, sweat and lemon. Not your typical US Impy IPA, quite weird, but still charming.

Bov (12636) - Bienne, SWITZERLAND - FEB 1, 2008
courtesy of fiulijn - slightly hazy blond colour, almost no foam; aroma of fresh cut apples and oranges, phenolic; very sweet and oily, solid malt body, robust late bitterness; long fruity (apple, pear) finish - original

[email protected] Winter Beer Festival, 2008. Golden beer with a syrupy sweet aroma and a syrupy and quite bitter flavour. Overall an average beer.

3.8
rane (1060) - Nibe, DENMARK - JAN 22, 2008
Bottle. Dark golden colour with small long lasting head. Quite pale for an IIPA, but I guess there is no norm for the way it looks. Aroma grass, hopps, citrus and some malt below. Taste full body. In the beginning (1 -2 seconds) it is very malty and then the hopps takes over and the beer becomes quite bitter and very dry. A nice beer, and given 0.1 extra for the label. Drunk by one man with wife, children and 10 cats.
