This Imperial India Pale Ale Rocks... Hardcore! But dont feel obliged to take our word for it, this little bottle has a grandiloquent story to tell. 2,204 malted Maris Otter grains gave all they had to offer the world to provide the robustly delicate toffee malt canvas for the ensuing epic. 4 Hop Cones willingly sacrificed themselves in fiery cauldron that is our brew kettle to ensure your mouth is left feeling punished and puckering for more. 9,900,000,000 yeast cells frantically fermented their little hearts out as the sugars were magically turned into alcohol in the dark depths of our fermentation tanks. 2 humans and 1 canine companion are relatively happy with the results
Note this is for the new petrol blue coloured labels with white lettering, which is 9.2%. Ratings for the older bottles with with bright blue label and black lettering should go under the first edition.

Saeglopur (1824) - Vienna Woods, AUSTRIA - FEB 16, 2014
Bottle from Ammersin, Vienna. Clear amber body with medium, creamy, slightly beige head. Great fruity aroma of mango, passion fruit, lychee, grapefruit and pine, grassy and caramelic malt from the background. Taste is dominated by bitter grapefruit and pine, also grass, caramel, candy and bread. Mouthfeel is medium to full, slick, with a decent carbonation and it finishes strong bitter, sharp, with grapefruit, grass. but also some candy. Great, strong DIPA, with an aggressive hop bite, but still greatly balanced, with lots of fruit notes and a nice malt backbone.

33cl bottle shared Appearance, Reddish, clear, with allmost no foam. Aroma: tropical fruits and citrus. Taste: Strong fuity (Citrus+ Tropical and some peaches) bitterness batteling it out with a lot of sweet caramelised malts and some herbs and pine, Not a sign there of the 9 % alcohol, Still with the taste ramped up that high they still succeeded in some complexity. Of the bitterness palate. Thick body, low carbonation, oily texture.

Migmar (255) - Espoo, FINLAND - FEB 15, 2014
Red, clear, just a hint of foam. Fruits, caramel, spruce. Full palate, medium sweetness, heavy bitterness. Alcohol comes through strongly. Bit over the top in hoppiness, but not too harsh in the end. A textbook example of a DIPA.

Arczir (129) - POLAND - FEB 13, 2014
Very strong aroma of caramel and really, really good hops, loads of mint, herbs and resin. Its really nice looking beer with clear dark amber colour and tiny, lasting head. Tastes amazing, its loaded with malty, caramel sweetness and countered by high to very high bitterness, some noble alcohol on palate as well. Definitely good explict imperial ale.
