Bottle. Dark copper pour, delicate off white head. Very strong aroma is as hoppy as one would expect. Resin, grapefruit, a little xmas incense, or at least the stuff I remember from church. I guess that’s floral. Hints of butterscotch and cookie dough. Slick, medium chewy body, delicate carbonation. Boozy! It’s not hiding in this one. Caramel malt backbone, bitter boozy finish. Balanced for the style. MrTipple (4970) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - JAN 28, 2014
Aroma: massive hops, citrus, pineapple, tropical fruits, sweet malts. Appearance: dark amber, clear, small white head. Taste: medium sweet, hints of bitterness. Palate: sweet dueling with bitter, ripe fruits, long bitter finish. Overall: amazing Imperial IPA, fantastically rich palate. Bottle from Brew Dog Ellon, Scotland. Appearance is golden orange, hazy. Taste light sweetness, very bitter. medium body, average carbonation, bitter, long finish. Aroma is citrus, resin, strong grapefruit. Really good IPA, really bitter. The best IPA I have had in a while. fitwitchik (433) - Ohio, USA - JAN 8, 2014
Poured from a bottle into a pint glass a golden orange color with a creamy head that laces nicely down the glass side.
Aroma of a sweet citrus slight malted pine.
Taste is syrup hops with a bitter finish. Unique flavor makes this an imported Imperial IPA which is far better than average.
Nicely carbonated & a real treat for a serious Imperial/DIPA consumer. domienS (250) - Oostakker, BELGIUM - JAN 7, 2014
Pours a clear amber beer that is well saturated with a nice broken white head.
Smells rather neutral. A bit malty and floral.
Tastes really bitter. Leaves a nice bitter palate and the beer goes down smooth.
Good ipa but they have better imo.
