This Imperial India Pale Ale Rocks... Hardcore! But dont feel obliged to take our word for it, this little bottle has a grandiloquent story to tell. 2,204 malted Maris Otter grains gave all they had to offer the world to provide the robustly delicate toffee malt canvas for the ensuing epic. 4 Hop Cones willingly sacrificed themselves in fiery cauldron that is our brew kettle to ensure your mouth is left feeling punished and puckering for more. 9,900,000,000 yeast cells frantically fermented their little hearts out as the sugars were magically turned into alcohol in the dark depths of our fermentation tanks. 2 humans and 1 canine companion are relatively happy with the results
Note this is for the new petrol blue coloured labels with white lettering, which is 9.2%. Ratings for the older bottles with with bright blue label and black lettering should go under the first edition.

Lots of caramel, sweet quality, quite thick and viscous, sickly, not too much tropical or citrus vibes, but some caramel, like five am saint pumped up to eleven.

This was good but Ive discovered that European double IPAs lean more toward an American barley wine. The aroma had a sweet toffee and hops essence. The color was amber with a small head. Good carbonation and somewhat smooth. The malt presence is strong and somewhat sweet and matches the hops presence well. I dont think my palate is able to register the claimed 150 IBUs though but it is hoppy. Nice one.

Beautiful deep amber orange pour with small cream colored head. Aroma of malts, caramel, fruit and hops. Taste of malts, caramel, faint peach and a hoppy finish. Full bodied, medium carbonation, and everything balanced beautifully. Just the right amount of hops on the finish as some IIPA are are a little overboard on the hops, good job.

Nice amber orange color with white creamy head. Fresh intense aroma, grassy, herbal and malt caramel. At taste is light sweet and malty with finish in strong bitterness, pleasant.

Habanero (4434) - Tranbjerg, DENMARK, DENMARK - AUG 27, 2013
Bottled. Pours hazy amber with a small off-white head, that leaves a fair lacing. Aroma of caramel, grapefruit, citrus and resin. Sweet flavor with a solid malt base, that ends up more dry and nice bitter. Medium bodied, oily text. and soft carb. An excellent 2xIPA.

Temptation (257) - - AUG 26, 2013
Dark orangish, honey-like, colour, cloudy and hazy aspect crowned by a small white head which hardly leaves a tiny lace. The hoppy aroma is pinaceus, herbal and maybe citric, it seems like if every hop of the world was in the glass. Great aroma, deep and marked. The best of this beer is its massive mouthfeel, brutally balanced between the caramel and toffee sweetness and the floral and citric bitterness. Even you can find notes to nuts, fruit and liquor. Marvellous IPA, ruthless and aggressive.

Dark amber, a little bit foam. Soft carbonation. Very bitter hoppy aroma. Some sweetness and fruitiness also, very bitter aftertaste.

Bottle from Tesco. Badged up as their own. Massively tasty, toffee apple sweetness, but with a dry, oily dirty taste to go with it.. After it? Before it? I dont know. Its a complex affair. And all at two quid a pop!

Great malty flavors in such strong IPA, nearly a double IPA (I have just read in fact it is, grrrr). Nearly a triple IPA? Not so, hehe. Could it be better combine the hops in other way? Who knows...great beer, tasted in a great place in Vigo, Frenopatiko bar, listening the Pursuit of Vikings

Pours cloudy dark amber with a medium frothy head. Aroma is mango, peach, caramel, pine cones. Taste is ripe peach, caramel, mango, soil, pine. Aftertaste is bitter grapefruit and resin. Very good! ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
