4 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
330 bottle poured into tulip. Pours a nice amber with a minimal head. Aroma is of dried grapes, "tobacco" (?!?), toffee/caramel, herbal/floral hops. Taste is one of the nicest balance between bitter and sugary that I’ve witnessed in a double IPA! Mouthfeel is really nice and smooth with low carbonation. Bitter aftertaste lingers for quite a while, and "post-taste" could easily be felt after even 15mins...! My first Brewdog, I have to confess I’m utterly impressed! Overall: outstanding but this almost like a mix between a double ipa and a scotch ale! Very well done!

Bottle from backlog. Pours a slightly hazy amber color with a small off white head. The aroma and flavor have pale malts, grapefruit citrus, floral, light resiny hops, moderate bitter finish, good, better than the previous version. HopsGuru75 () - - JUL 20, 2017
UPDATED: JUL 20, 2017 Super Bier. Sehr fruchtig (tropisch) aber geht schon in die sehr bittere Richtung. erikaraeb (226) - Edinburgh, SCOTLAND - JUL 19, 2017
Smells dank. Taste is pretty typical of a IIPA with a creamier mouthfeel. A good go-to, especially since you can buy it in Tesco.

If I remember well, this was the first IPA I ever tried, back when I didn’t know shit about craft beer. And back then I thought it was awful, waaay too bitter. "yuck, who would want to drink something so unpleasantly bitter?". Maybe because of that bad first impression, I don’t think I tried it again for years, but I have tried so many other IPAs of course and I’ve grown very fond of craft beer in general during this time. And now, look at me... Shit this is GOOD. Surprisingly malty for an IPA, but there’s also a good blend of hoppy aromas like pineaple, citrus and pine. It’s not very intense, otherwise the aroma would be devastatingly good, but it’s still quite awesome. The colour is a beautiful, clear red amber with a nice foamy head that goes down quickly. It is bitter, hell yes. Having drunk it during a hot summer night, I started it straight out the fridge and I did notice it got better after a while, so I would recommend to let it get some temperature before opening if the weather allows it. jooilakon (170) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - JUL 7, 2017
A 330 ml "Brewdog Mr. President" labelled bottle from Tesco. Floral aromas with notes of tropical fruit, grass, caramel and citrus. Cream color head and clear amber body. Taste is bitter with notes of flowers, caramel, grapefruit, pine and citrus. The alcohol taste is too prominent in this beer, compared to most other good imperial IPAs where the focus is on the fruity hops.
Am I the only one in this world that does not understand the hype around Brewdog? Let’s be honest, they are not very good? I can name dozens of Scottish breweries that are better. MeadWhisperer31 (24) - - JUL 1, 2017
Oubliez la punk IPA, buvez la hardcore IPA, une IPA carrée, dans la plus pure tradition, du fruité tropical, de l’amertume, le tout décuplé par rapport à une IPA normale.
